2x exp server boost?

For Xbox atleast, myself and all my opponents are recieving 2x xp server boosts. All my games are insanely laggy.. Do you think NRS are preparing the servers for the next patch?

Or perhaps it's for another reason. That NRS has noticed it and is providing an XP boost to compensate, even if an XP reduction would make more sense due to the lag causing overall performance to slacken.

It's double XP weekend. Won't matter anyways, I'll just end up leveling up to 60 and then my game won't load my saves or freeze and I end up having to clear cache and delete Saved files just to start at level 1 again. Happened to me on XBL , at least my level 50 on PSN is okay for now.
