THIS MONTH, WE HAVE A KING OF FIGHTERS XIII HIGH ROLLERS TOURNEY $25 PER ENTRY

$10 admission fee for those playing in the tournament and/or would like to play casuals.
$5 admission fee for those spectating only or if you bring a station.

NET BATTLES is proud to present GODLIKE SUNDAYS. Indianapolis monthly tournament series. If you would like to be part of the growth for the FGC in the Midwest and showing the world that we are here, come support this event. We will have many different tournaments: SSF4 AE, Ultimate MVC3, Injustice, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Persona 4 Arena, Street Fighter X Tekken, Guilty Gear Accent Core and King of Fighters XIII. We will try to have team tournaments for UMVC3 or exhibition matches as well.

WE WILL BE TAKING EARLY REGISTRATIONS. IF YOU PLAN ON COMING, PLEASE SEND US YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME, TOURNAMENT NAME AND THE GAMES YOU WISH TO ENTER TO [email protected] Pre-registration is preferred (YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY NOW), it helps us make the brackets faster and will be beneficial for everyone involved. WHERE: TILT STUDIO, CIRCLE CENTER MALL. 49 West Maryland Street, Suite 206. Indianapolis, IN 46204

PARKING: There is a parking lot right next to Circle Centre mall, their flat rate is $5 all day! at 132 South Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN. Inside the mall, Saturdays and Sunday are 5 hours for $3 or 8 hours for $8. We suggest taking a minute in between the tournament to go outside and then come back in so you can get 10 HOURS for $6!

LOCATION DETAILS: ASUS MONITORS or Equivalent monitors only. Theater Room Space, Projector Screen with Surround Sound System and chairs for everyone. We will have a DREAMCAST/NAOMI station with games like CVS1, CVS2, MVC, MVC2, Alpha 3, and more!

SCHEDULE: Subject to change if required, please check frequently. We need you to be early and ready to run a smooth and organized tournament for everyone. This is one of the reasons why we would like you to have our number and text (765-631-6808) if you need to communicate with us, in the case that you won’t be on time. If your name is called to start a set and you are not available, we will try to move to the next set in the bracket and give you up to 5 minutes to report. If you DO NOT show after said time you WILL BE DISQUALIFIED from the tournament you are participating in.

11:00am: TILT'S doors open.
12:00pm: We will start taking payments for admissions and registrations at this time.
12:30pm: SSF4AE, KOF, SFxT and P4A tournaments will begin.
4:30pm: UMVC3, TTT2, GGXXAC and INJUSTICE tournaments will begin.

KING OF FIGHTERS XIII: SINGLES ($25 Entry fee)
Finals will be played on PS3.
Double elimination bracket system.
Best 2 out of 3 during pool play.
Winners Finals/Losers Finals/Grand Finals best 3 out of 5.
Prize splits are 1st (70%), 2nd (20%), 3rd (10%) from pot entries.
All stages and characters are allowed.
Loser can change team and order.
Winner can only change order if loser changes team or order.
If loser hits rematch, winner has to as well.

ULTIMATE MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 3: SINGLES ($10 Entry fee)
Finals will be played on Xbox 360.
Best 3 out of 5 during pool play.
Grand Finals best 3 out of 5.
Prize splits are 1st (70%), 2nd (20%), 3rd (10%) from pot entries.
All stages and characters are allowed.
Loser can change team, order and/or assists.
Winner can only change order of team by holding assist button before match starts.
If loser hits rematch, winner has to as well.

SUPER STREET FIGHTER IV ARCADE EDITION VER.2012: SINGLES ($10 Entry fee)
Finals will be played on Xbox 360.
Double elimination bracket system.
Best 2 out of 3 during pool play.
Grand Finals best 3 out of 5.
Prize splits are 1st (70%), 2nd (20%), 3rd (10%) from pot entries.
All stages and characters are allowed.
Loser can change character and ultra.
Winner cannot change character nor ultra.

TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2: SINGLES ($10 Entry fee)
All matches will be 2v2 only.
Entire bracket will be played on PS3.
Double elimination bracket system.
Best 2 out of 3 during pool play.
Grand Finals are 3 out of 5.
Prize splits are 1st (70%), 2nd (20%), 3rd (10%) from pot entries.
All stages and characters are allowed.
Loser can change characters.
Winner cannot change characters, only order if loser goes to character select screen.

INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US ($10 Entry fee)
Finals will be played on Xbox 360.
Double elimination bracket system.
Best 2 out of 3 during pool play.

All stages and characters are allowed.
Martian Manhunter is banned.
Loser can change character.

This will be Injustice's fourth Godlike Sunday showing, which started being hosted in May.

In May, we had 17 sign-up's. In June: 13. In July: 4.

But I blame July's numbers on Evo, since July's event was held on the Sunday before Evo. The entire event for July had about less than a fourth of the people that we usually get total (which is normally around 40 - 70 people)

I've tried in the past, but there's no real scene for it here in Indy (save for a few players).

HOWEVER, we might very well be doing a high roller $25 entry tournament for MK 9 at next month's Godlike Sundays.

Nice! I live in Western KY and have been trying to find a local scene forever. I have a small hand full of about 10 friends that come over a couple times a week for casuals. I've been trying to learn and improve in fighting games for years, but most of my friends are actually starting to get where they have a desire to learn and get better, so I think something like this would be a great experience for us all. Wish I would have known this sooner so I could ask off for work, but I'll see what I can't work out.

Also, just so you know for the future: We hold these monthly events on the first Sunday of every month. The only exception to that is when the Indianapolis Colts have a home game (October and December, for this year). The reason being for that is the costs of parking quadruple for the Colts home games. In the event that happens, we push it off to the next best Sunday to have it.

But I'll be posting a new thread for every monthly event that we will have, so you will know for sure what day the next one falls on.

So the next Godlike Sundays will actually be on.........wait for it.........a Saturday. Saturday, September 7th to be precise.

Once I see the Facebook event for this go up, I'll copy it from there and paste it here. However, here is what I can tell you now:

- We have pushed back the MK 9 High Roller tournament for at least until our October event.

- Injustice tournament will now have all pool/bracket matches be Best 3/5, including Winner's / Loser's Finals. Grand Finals will be Best 4/7.

Hope to see you all there. Our Injustice scene here looks to still be pretty decent. At last Sunday's event, we had 14 sign up's for Injustice.

I'll post the full event thread when I get home from work, tonight. There is actually discussion on holding an MK 9 tournament, as well (though it will probably not be the high roller that I've been talking about).

Also, it will be on Saturday, Sept. 7th and Injustice will be Best 3/5 with Grand Finals being Best 4/7.
