Getting an Xbox One just for KI pointless?

Don't let those one million hit UUUUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLLLLTTTTTTTTTRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! combos intimidate you. They are fairly easy to do with just a few shortcuts. Now, if you want to show off and go for the overkill then you need to get the timing down after the ultra to extend it and make it flashier. If you get a chance, google Killer Instinct or Killer Instinct 2 combo guide and you'll get an idea of how the combo system works. The combo system is pretty much KI's trademark. It's like an art form performing those combos.

Things I don't understand

Auto Doubles
Shadow Breakers
Counter Breakers
Combo Breakers (Similar to MK9 breakers?)

I understand you don't get damage unless you finish your combos with an ender, which I'm guessing is a special move or something?

If you like games, you won't go wrong with either console.

FYI about KI, it doesn't use a modified version of the SF4 engine...or at least I have never heard that it does and I've been closely following KI3 since it was announced. I know fans have been comparing KI3 to SF4 because of what they percieve to be a similar look, but that is where the similarities end as far as what has been shown.

IMO, KI3 will be amazing off top and beyond other FGs just because of the bump the X1 will give it in the features department. Twitch integration, record/upload features including post record editing, Picture in picture "snap" functions (I've found this to be very exciting as of late), as well as other features can push FGs to the next level entirely.

If you aren't excited about the snap stuff, or other features, imagine being in pracitce mode and snaping youtube vids of combos and tutorials in order to practice those. Imagine recording combos and up loading them on the fly, being able to comunicate with other xbl friends who are on TYM/SRK/MKU/whatever on the fly, and watch them and see what they come up with all on the same device. Right now I do this on my phone, and/or go between my living room and computer space to do these things, but I REALLY like the idea of being able to do all the at the same time on the same device, and knowing that everyone can do the same thing is amazing to me. This really gets me more hype for MK10...and maybe Injustice 2.

Thats actually really interesting because I've contemplated getting into Youtube since write up tutorials on TYM can only go so far but I've needed a capture card. If recording footage through the console is an option I'd just need to worry about voice overs....

The KI devs have already said in their various panels that when you are editing recorded stuff you can add VO through the Kinect (or whatever mic you have hooked up). I too want to get more into the youtube stuff; that and Twitch streaming. Both will be possible on the X1, and as far as I know isn't possible on the PS4...yet.

I know the PS4 can do the same type of reocord stuff, and I think you can make longer vids on it than on the X1 (not much info has been given about the as far as I know), but the PS4 is inherant to Ustream, and they also haven't annouced being able to upload to other social media sites like Youtube or Facebook as of yet.

Some of you act like there will be only KI on Xbox One and no other game. MK10, SF5 and nearly all other fighting games will be multiplattform. Square Enix, Konami, Capcom all go multiplattform. So if hes interested in KI there is no other Option. In Terms of fighting games he will not miss any on Xbox One. So ist not stupid to buy the console because of one game since you can have all other games too.

Wll, if you are a competitive player and want to play KI on tournaments, then sure, go for the XBox. Will the XBox be bettrer for fightling game exclusives? Impossible to tell yet, with KI it might look that way before launch. If you are looking for the overall exclusives its hard to tell as of noew also, but the Sonys first party studios rules throuh the current generation, so I give them some advanced credit for that...
