GGA Dizzy Claims Victory in Mortal Kombat 9 at Video x Games 2013!

Why is that lol? Cage IS broken. He has 9 frame random advantage on crouch blocking opponents. That's broken. Cage is my main, I know he's broken. Dizzy is just the best at the character right now. A lot of characters Cage destroys in the cast or are very difficult matches. He does have bad MU's though, everyone does except Kabal.

And please, can we stop with the backhanded compliments every time someone wins a tournament? Dizzy wins a tournament 2 years into the game's life, and Cage is broken all of a sudden? Come on.

Other characters besides Cage have that random advantage bug. Jax for sure has it, but there was a list of characters that have it on their strings. There was some thread awhile back where everyone was testing for random advantage and people found some characters with it. I don't think Cage is broken, just very good. He excels at whiff punishing, has ridiculous normals, a standing reset, the best chip damage in the game, great comeback factor, and a game-changing x-ray. I don't think he comes close to some of the other top tiers in the game though, and he has close to an unwinnable matchup with Kenshi. Dizzy is just a great player using a great character, and it shouldn't be a surprise that he won.

I've always thought cage was a fucked up character. That's why I started playing him. Then I realized I enjoyed the play style. I want to know why people are actively trying to discredit pl and Reo by saying they aren't the best to ever play mk when they are the ones who have the best tournament records.

Yup I hear you. But it's not wrong to have an opinion, any more than it is to feel that someone is the most talented golfer or tennis play to ever play the game.

Not everyone will agree, but that's ok -- and that's why I prefaced my comment with 'I think'.

And just in my personal opinion, on a pure gameplay/fundamentals level Dizzy is the most talented player I have ever watched play the game. He has truly mastered his craft, and watching him play, even when the matchup doesn't favor him, is like watching some kind of artwork. He' s stuck with his character the whole way through and it paid off for him. Really happy for him and with SB:A, UFGT and now VxG he leaves behind proof of the pudding.

winning vxg means he won more than the entire prize pot of evo. shoot 16 bit got about as much as the total prize pool of evo. the 3 gga guys total about 6X the evo prize pool for the tournament. Seems like they picked the right tournament.

I'm sure some players find Kenshi an entertaining matchup. Not everyone plays SubZero and Kitana. Lao players, Kabal, Cyrax, Raiden. I could see how matches that are more balanced against Kenshi would be entertaining.

But the poking out game of F3 and it causing input bugs constantly when poking on the wrong frame is the most frustrating thing to lose to in MK. In my opinion.

Damn is it super fun to fight cage with sub. Nothing hurts more than a good time out.

Everyone on tym seems to have an ungodly hate for kenshi, but thats because their main goes 2-8 against him. Playing against kenshi with cyrax is an extremely fun match for me, maybe not for the kenshi player .

VS Cyrax is pretty fun MU for Kenshi player too, just need to be more cautions. Playing vs Kabal isn't funny thou - its tedious. Everybody else is fine.

oh i'm fine with opinions, everyone's entitled to one for sure dizzy is definitely a top player nd a very cool person. But if we talking fundamentals, just make sure vegas on that list
