Saved data reset

Not sure if this is the place to post this but it seemed the most relevant.
Ever since the update my saved data for the game has been almost reset, this means that all thing done so far in nekropolis have been reset costing me hundreds of hours of work, and characters unlocked through story mode are no longer unlocked meaning I can't use one of my alts (cyber-sub). Somehow all my online record and achievements remain intact. Is there a way to contact netherrealm of this issue and hopefully resolve this or is that data and all that work gone?

I heard many cases of this but I only heard of this once Skarlet was downloaded not downloading the compatibility pack. So its possible that the case you reported was the problem. I also heard cases before all these updates of lost data so you might of lost yours that way too. As far as I know theres no way to save your data you gotta do everything over. Despite me not having any interest left in this game I still wanna get the season pass. I do like MK and I use to like 9 but I'm not touching that season pass grabage til they fix that shit.

Sounds like the same thing that happened to my game, during game startup a window would pop up saying something about damaged save data. Continued to the game and was just like I had popped the disc in for the first time, no saved anything. I was through story mode, on like 220 of the Challenge Tower and most of the Krypt was cleared out.
I would try getting through just the start screen and sometimes the game would freeze up.
After a Google search I read I should go to system memory and erase the corrupted file (was a big C there, for corruption). My achievements are all there still, and there's still a file for the game that says save file and some space has been used but I have had to restart on everything, this part I don't get, cuz there was no saved anything still. Got all alt costumes again but could care less about going through the goofy Challenge Tower again.

This also happened to me today. And I had unlocked Quan Chi, Cyber Sub and everything in the krypt and beat every challenge in Challenge Tower... :grr:

Is there any way to create a backup game save so I don't have to worry about this if it would happen again?

Think you can copy your save file onto a USB.
