Looks like we have a new bug ...

When I go on xbox live to play, it won't let me select cyber sub. The only selectable corner character on my list is skarlet. Seeing as how cyber sub is my main, this is proving to be a big problem.

Anyone experience this before and find a way to fix it?

Wow, according to the game I have no unlocked skins, no quan chi, and no cyber sub ... wtf?

Edit: All my unlockables are officially gone. I am logged in on my correct game save account, but everything is gone. I am at my wits end right now. Can't practice, do training mode, nothing.

Guys please help, I can't figure this shit out, and its getting more an more exhausting coming back from erased data every fucking time.

Was this after you did the desync fix for XBOX (Did you do that?)? Also, should be moved to glitch reporting for organization's sake.

I never had the desync problem after the patch. I was in an online game, finished. Joined another, and no cyber sub and no quan chi anymore. I went to the main menu and found that everything I unlocked was gone. =(

Edit: Tried restarting the game and the console, and nothing still.

I know people have been seeing this bug since launch, and I don't think there have been any official fixes on it to be honest.

HOWEVER, the one time it happened to me, as soon as I noticed cyber sub and quan chi weren't on the select screen, I went back to the main menu, hit the guide button, logged out. Then signed BACK into my account, hit start... everything was back. I don't know what you've done since it first messed up but trying logging in / out at the main menu... hopefully its not too late for that easy fix.

Tried that too, and had no luck.

Fuck it, I seriously fucking hate NRS at this point. I love MK, I love the MK community, but this game just keeps shitting on me. Not sure how much more I can take. Lost 15 bucks during the whole skarlet dlc f up, and now I can't play my main.

NRS is pretty retarded for making us need to unlock characters. Should just be a code or something to get them back.

Is your actual save file gone? (I don't know if you can look for those on XBOX like you can on PS3)

Well, don't know if you should have, but it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. If it doesn't help, then I'm sorry, I don't know what to do about it. It's the first I've heard of the problem.

After searching google, it is apparently a common problem ... and apparently the only fix is unlocking everything from scratch. I may have to just wait until mk10 because liking this game is causing me more pain in my ass then pleasure at this point. Or maybe I will go back to umk3.

Edit: I can't even bare the thought of unlocking everything again only to have the saved data corrupted all over.

Sucks dude. If you ever get the nerve to do it again, may want to keep a backup of your save file.

Lol, to be honest I think it is ridiculous that a game would even require you to back up the save file because of poor coding. I hope they get things right with mk10 or I hope whispering eye has the patience to re-unlock everything because I sure as fuck don't.

There are 100% save files on gamefaqs. Take one of those and save some time, then redownload your skins and characters (you can do that for free like on PS3 right?).

Edit: can't find the data ... is the data for 360 gamertag linked? because if so, I am screwed.

Found it ... now I need to go nab a usb drive and hope for the best.

Same thing happened to me. I had to unlock everything again. I even did all the challenge tower missions and everything from the krypt.

Now I can't get into practice mode or story mode or any mode for that matter at all ... i'll update if i figure something out.
