Regarding the first four DLC characters to hit Injustice it seems as though many consumers, especially DC fans, didn't like the fact that Scorpion from Mortal Kombat would be joining the roster. If you think about it.. if you're going to make a fighting game based off of the DC Universe, the first fighting game like it in years, why even bother with a guest character? There's no need, right? To be fair, it was likely an attempt at a marketing plan to get DC fans in to NetherRealm's primary game, Mortal Kombat.
Fans loved Lobo, who was first. There seemed to be fixed feelings surrounding Batgirl... too many Batman characters? With Scorpion being the third, General Zod as the fourth was a winner. Now, what about more guest characters? There has been talk of Sub-Zero joining later on as DLC, but this has been purely speculation/rumor. However, today is seems Ed Boon is putting that rumor to rest with being quoted, "That's right. Only one guest character per game."
