The "I Cannot beat this" thread

My blades will find your heart
This is an idea I have thought about post EVO. A lot of people on this site seem o be struggling with certain characters or certain tactics. My idea is to use this thread for other members of the site to either tell these users how to beat these tactics from personal experience, or we can hit the lab and figure it out ourselves.

Just to keep it organized I would prefer if we could keep posts in this format:

The Tactic you cannot beat
The character that you play

That will make it easier for all to find solutions.

I probably will not post every question in the OP. Maybe the most recurring ones.

Zone, jump back, zone some more, anti air when they jump in, throw interactables, and if their close: MB interactables. Not trollin, it's scary how effective this strategy works. KDZ pretty much won the grand finals likes this, except he also had good corner combos.

Gotta be more specific amigo.

Which characters are you talking about and what character are you using?

Pretty much zoning if its not obvious I play Lobo.
Well this is a character by character basis. The best method is to go into training and see the frame data on whatever they are zoning you out with. Most projectiles are negative and give a free dash when blocked. This is especially true when Lobo's forward dash rolls under most projectiles. I also like to use push block when they try to retaliate as that pushes them back towards the corner.

Other than that go into training, set the opponent to whatever is beating you and see what you can find. If you have certain characters you want to check out I could maybe help you out.

It depends on the day. I mostly play Cyborg and Sinestro. I find myself whiffing about 80% of the time during cross-ups.
lol you probably shouldn't be jumping in with those characters; they work best at fullscreen. Cyborg can zip around that map, but Idk if he can be kicked out of the sky or not. I do know the Sin's trait is great for keep the enemy at bay, and his aracnid sting maybe a good anti air if D2 doesn't work. I think his B1 anti airs, but you should really ask Pig of the hut.

For starters, hit the lab and use the record feature. I struggle against Low Guns? I record DeathStroke spamming them and sit there for hours until I figure it out or throw my HitBox through my tv :D (I still have my tv fyi ;)) Also, when doing this, don't forget to try the odd or "useless" strings and moves in your character's arsenal. You might find a use for them outside of the conventional wisdom.

I'm talking about Batman's cross-ups, not mine. I'm not jumping much.

Also, thanks for posting something constructive on this website. Despite what certain "community leaders" seem to think, THIS is the type of thread that a real community leader helps to initiate. Thank you very much for stepping into that role.

The thing that disappoints me here is that there's a catch all thread now. Isn't this what character forums are for?
As a Nightwing player, I don't often check other character forums. But if I see someone needing help AGAINST Nightwing in this thread, I'd be willing to help them out. I think this should work. Give it a chance. :)

Well universally it helps to either dash or jump. Now when you jump you have to realize that from about a dash distance away EX Heat Vision will hit you. Anywhere else though, you can jump over any heat vision including airs. You just have to mkae sure to jump as soon as you see the heat vision animation start.

As far as Nightwing specific stuff could wing dings not mess up his timing and make heat vision whiff?

No, sorry :(
