His mix isn't all gimmicks, he just gets wrecked in neutral and zoned out. I'm not saying he could of had long term success as a solo main but he definitely could have been used in some matchups and his mix based gameplay is better in a FT3 format where there isn't that much time to adjust. With his lack of representation even top players wouldn't have the same matchup experience against him as they would with many other characters. All that makes me think he fits the Dark Horse bill, a character that no one would expect to do well and necessarily be prepared for. I think he had more of a place in the competitive game then his lack of usage would suggest.
