Who is planning on staying competitive in both IGAU and MKX?

He's asking people why it's so hard to play both games. Instead, we find half of the posts spewing the usual injustice hate. If they don't want to, fine ... you don't have to post. We have enough of the useless banter around the forums as it is.

As this community grows it kind of seems like its splitting apart to different games. As much as i would love that everyone just enjoy all the NRS games (and KI) as much as i do it just seems like that wont happen.

For the record, I'm sure if MK9 was patched or we got an "Ultra" version of it when Injustice hit, many people would have either played both Injustice and MK9, or dropped the former. Capcom actually updates their shit, which is why people play multiple games. NRS fans got sick and tired of the Kabal and Kenshi crisis, as well as "reset" exploiting characters, after 3 years. 3 years of tolerating that says a lot about the love MK9 received.

On the other hand, even if Injustice gets an update, it will still be horrifically overshadowed by MKX when it is released. That much I guarantee.

MvC3 hasn't been updated since 2011.

My point with this is that it doesn't have to be this way. Why as a community do we allow us to have this view that when a new game comes out the old one has to die? Do we not agree that if we supported our community games to the fullest we will undoubtedly grow into a much stronger community? Don't we as a community want to be the best community we can be? Why do we allow other communities like Capcom and Smash to over shadow us? We should have the drive to show that we can be the best community. But what do I know.

I'll play any NRS game that's at a tournament, but it will still be hard to give a shit about Injustice outside of the fact that I'm supporting NRS.

its the same shit that happened with MK9, those who sucked at MK9 stopped going to tournaments (select few who weren't that good still stuck by it however) when INJ was released, so thats what killed the game, those who were good at MK9 still played MK9 where it was available, and the MK9 tournaments were so stacked after INJ came out. i don't see a difference really at this point in INJ life. a lot of people went to SCR, but how come its in the same area but MLG only has 64 players so far? typical west coast bullshit? or something else? honestly the biggest thing that irritates me about this community is how we don't all support our games after a new one comes out. i'm not going to lie i didn't like MK9 as much as i currently like INJ, i only play MK9 at one major, but if you were a person that played MK9 throughout its life, picked up INJ then forgot about MK9 shame on you.

Nah mang that's not what I'm saying. Between MK games which would be four years. So mk9 came out in 2011 and MKX comes out 2015 = 4 years of playing mk9. IGAU came out 2013 so we would play both MK9 and IGAU until MKX comes out. After it comes out we play IGAU and MKX until igau2 comes out in 2017= 4years of playing IGAU. Then we play IGAU2 and MKX at that time. This way each installment gets atleast 4 years of tourney play.

Some of these responses are interesting. I personally wouldn't play a game just because it's the "Cool" thing for the community to be doing. For example a good bit of you on here play KI right? I'd love to play KI, but I don't support the Xbox so I'll never play it. It's that simple for me. If you like a game play it. If you don't then don't play it. To each his own though.

My answer is I'll still support both games. I think It would be cool if MK9 was still being played at tournaments a year from now. I'd love for the NRS community to support all of it's games. MK1, MK2, UMK3, MK4, DA, Deception, Armageddon. That's just my spill though. Either way I wont be able to seriously compete until I start going to the ATL scraps & YOMI consistently. I'm super free offline haha.

I love Injustice, but let's be serious here....I'm not fucking touching Injustice once MKX comes out. I know it sucks that we can't play two games at once, but it's just the way it is. Everyone stopped playing MK9 when Injustice dropped, so this will be no different.

You all say you will only focus on mkx, but those first couple of months is hell for a nrs game. There will be at least 2 or 3 characters that completely break the game.

haven't decided yet on this really, i feel like it will be a lot easier to maintain your skill in INJ for longer periods of time than with MK9. i have went long periods of time without playing INJ and still being able to do what i want in game vs when it was with mk9. also i hate the fact that a bunch of these players hate inj and are MK fanboys so i want to be good as possible in MKX to just rub it in their face when i mollywop them in MKX.
