When Did You Become a Gamer?

I played a lot of N64 as a kid, lots of Mario Party (which probably explains why I distrust so many people haha) and especially Bomberman, but I didn't truly jump on the gaming train until this happened...

I've always hated video games.
I had all the game consoles as a kid but I never played them. But I've always liked Mk so I got MkvsDC. Then I knew fighting games were my thing so I went back and bought all the MKs but MK9 was when I actually started gaming

All the Sonic love in here makes me happy. One of my all-time favorite game series on the Sega Genesis.

I think it was 1995 ( was 5 yo ) when i played my first pc game :

It was actually fun!

Then i played more games on my dads MSX2 , Metal Gear Solid 2 , Dragon Quest 2 , 1942 , Contra , Out Run and so on.

Don't really define myself a gamer tho , i enjoy lotsa things.

I played mario when I was still a little retard but that didn't make me a gamer. I think FFVII on PC made me into a true gamer, I still remember that my copy of FFVII was broken and I couldn't play any further than the fight with Dyne and Barret. Only a few years later could I afford a Ps1. FFVII is what made me look into other games

mario bros. and double dragon on the nes
on the sega, sonic 1 , sonic 2 , micro machines , THE POWER RANGERS FIGHTING GAME -i literally still miss that game like 21 years later

I dabbled on my older sister's NES and it was some Dracula game iirc, but didn't play it much. It wasn't until I played Kirby for the NES and let me tell you what an accomplishment that was. It took me several tries to beat the final boss, but when I did I yelled it through the house lol. After that I was hooked for LOFE!

I have to add that Diablo 2 on launch and Halo 3 took up a few year of my life because I didn't care about any other game...now it's MK :D

Edit: Zelda OoT, Majora's Mask, and Starfox was my shit back in the day. I enjoy watching the speed runs for Zelda on twitch.
