I was not a big Freddy fan like others, but I cannot say I didn't enjoy Wes's take on Slasher Horror films. Wes Craven had quite an imagination with his creative killings and tension building scenes.

I'm just seeing this thread now, but no joke... I had a violent nightmare with Freddy Krueger in it, the night before I woke up to see the news of Wes Craven's passing. And even though Freddy has always given me the creeps, this dream was hardly a coincidence I feel.
