When I first saw this art on InsideMK's Facebook page I hoped it was a leak (hype for MK10!) but after some research it is not. In fact, this is artwork from 2010, dating before Mortal Kombat 9 even came out. Done by Senior Artist at NetherRealm Studios, Solomon Gaitan, these models are his take on the Outworld Emperor.

How his version compares to the 2011 Mortal Kombat 9 Shao Kahn is he has more armor, different spikes and a "louder" helmet. Below are a few images taken from GameOverWeb.fr as well as zbrushcentral.com.

See how it compares to his 2011 Mortal Kombat 9 look...

Plus on block.
Only thing I think they should have kept are those bitch'n knuckle claws.

I still he wish he was playable.

Because he'll never be playable again thanks to them completely annihilating him in MK9, I mean, not even killed, there is no rotting in Netherrealm for him, the elder gods straight up removed his ass from existence with mystical dragon powers.
