The majority of the casts d1s in this game are broke. Compared to mkx, down pokes are IMMENSELY better.
D1s in this game are faster, recover faster, are less minus, have autoblock, and can be comboed from.
There is NO reason a d1 that is 7 frames should recover in 12 frames and be -1 on block.
That means your optimal punish is on a reaction of atleast 12 frames! (taking into account startup and recovery of the one that blocked is 18 frames and then they have to react with atleast a 6 frame move)
That doesnt even include the fact that the opponent could have special canceled their d1 and potentially could punish your instant reaction and the fact that they can just walk back to avoid the d1 or have some buttons that avoid the reversal d1.
Keep in mind that all of this is after blocking one of the fastest and safest moves in the game that low profiles and could allow the opponent a full combo or decent damage into knockdown. D1s were already very solid in mkx and not only can they be comboed off of in injustice but they made them recover faster, safer by faster recovery and because of auto block, have accompanying safe or plus specials they can cancel into, be less minus, and some are LOWS????
WTF?????????????WHY???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I am serious here, the community as a whole should get behind the idea of nerfing d1s altogether in this game.
Tldr; d1s in general are broke because they do way too much in this game for how safe they are.
