Someone spent $3,200 in one night in Hearthstone. I am not going to rag on the guy, but he was asked "Is this game pay to win?", which he replied with "No, absolutely not". Later in the interview he says, "I'd recommend spending $500 at least to get most of the competitive cards".
Take from that what you will, to each their own I will say.
