I kind of missed these sort of threads. During the injustice days after a tournament a lot of these would pop up. It was nice to see how people enjoyed the event and to see their perspective.

For TCW as a whole i went to the first one and had a blast. Went to this one and had an even better time. This event was great. Ran very well. Pools although started a bit late everything started to run on time after pools 1 and 2. We had a huge projector on both ends of the room. One for MKX and the other for the other games. MKX was on all day. Although there was a few hiccups with the sound things still worked out perfectly fine. Having it at a dave and busters was a great idea. After losing or waiting for our pools to start we went to play the different games Dave and Busters had to offer. Was such a blast. Also the ability to have different food choices at the mall and at Dave and Busters was great. Day 2 was actually even better. They had a waitress come in and take peoples orders in the room we where in. My mind was blown by this. She brought people food drinks, etc. Also for the scumbag who left without paying your bill pls kindly find someone willing to punch you the face. Not fucking cool dude. Top 16 brought so much fucking hype and top 8 was also pretty dam good.

The event also had multiple stations that could be used for casuals day one and they left at least 2 for sunday so people could play and watch.

Shoutouts to @Mr Aquaman for another great event. Had a great time once again. I am so happy i am in the area now so i have easier access to such a great event.

@SonicFox5000 / Dragon. It was great seeing both of you again and hanging out with you guys. Great experience. Was the first time i really got to hang with you guys.

@RM Cossner It was great seeing you again dude. The games where really fun and somewhat got me to want to try playing MKX again. The heartbreak moment in the hypest game of top 8 though omg.

@GandyMan Great seeing you as well. Hopefully your voice comes back dude.

Overall it was great seeing everyone i either got to see again or for the people i got to see for the first time it was a great event and i hope there is a TCW3.

Oh shoutouts to scar for being a scum bag and teasing us by picking jax on the select screen but not using him. All the jax mains in the venue got so fucking hype

The event was pretty great. The constant matches being streamed during pools back and forth made things run great. I think for MK only about 4/5 matches weren't streamed. So almost every one got a chance to shine.

The venue was so much fun. Between the down time a few of us played different arcade games and such. Ski ball is rigged but I am an Air Hockey God. Sonic, Dragon, and Indy hold that L.

I only wish more people were able to eat the cupcakes cause honestly I don't know who even got any at the end of the first day. Lemme know if you got one of my godlike cupcakes.

@RM Cossner It was good seeing you again and now that I've spent more time with you I can actually understand what you're saying 70% of the time. :DOGE You beat Yams tho so you a butt hole and I hate your guts. Also you take the longest showers.

@SonicFox5000 Blue Pacman is broken S tier and you can only win with S tiers. And cherry pop tarts are gross. Tip better scrub.

@EVB Dragon If you still even use this site. Boooo Dragon booooo. Watching you make Indy salty at Mario kart was the highlight of day 1 lol.

@YOMI REO You missed a very good lunch on Sunday :( I wanted to show y'all the finer things the area has to offer with food.

@KevoDaMaN Nice seeing you and the gang again. Next time you and Dark need to coach me instead of against me. Or no more cupcakes for you.

Derp forgot @Tweedy congrats on going to your first major and place top 8 as well winners side. You had a lotta good players in your way. Not only did you beat some big names you also managed to at least get games off the players who beat you as well. Good investment. Keep it up

Thank you Firewall for holding down commentary this weekend when I watched the stream you brought the hype for sure.

Shout outs to SoVa crowd monsters with all their heckling and thuggery.

There's so much more I'm forgetting I'll have to make another post later.

Hello all!

I'm sure a few of you may remember me from the MK9 days but I'm guessing I'm a new face to the majority of the community as it stands today. I'm a member of the DPS team that was brought in to help run and stream the MK portion of the tournament. My primary function is to make sure the floor and stream are in-sync so the people managing the stream itself never have to actually look at the floor. For the people there you'll likely remember me as the spiky haired fellow who kept pestering you about your upcoming match and asking the same questions over and over again. =)

First and foremost we have to give a tremendous shout out to @Mr Aquaman , his love for this game and and this community is unquestionable. He's one of the most entertaining people on this planet to work with. I'm sure he was all kinds of stressed out this week and but he covered it well and made everyone else on the crew far less stressed as a result. He really does deserve all the support you guys can give him, his love for you all is immeasurable.

I had a blast hanging out with you all weekend @GandyMan and Firewall (does he have an account here?)! I'll always remember our comradery as we progressed through the weekend. You guys are so easy to work with and our entire crew would feed off your energy. And definitely keep on commentating, you guys did awesome!

And we really do want to thank all the players, everyone was extremely cooperative which helped tremendously with making this event run smoothly, especially on pools day. I believe we only had one hiccup where a match started pre-maturely and that was my fault for not giving the players the "please hold the match" spiel that everyone probably heard more than they cared to. We thank all of you for making our lives easier!

Hope to hang out with you all again soon!

Probably the most fun I've had at a tournament even though I didn't do so hot and couldn't stick around for Day 2.

@Mr Aquaman for organizing and putting on such a great show. It's awesome too see you getting recognized as the asset to this community that you are. Keep it up dude.

@Awkward Sloth for godlike cupcakes and cheering for me during matches. Always good to see you.

@SidTheHaze for doing so well in both MKX and SFV. You've improved a ton imo...I'm really glad we didn't meet in pools lol.

@Blackula for blowing me up in casuals again with Predator, lol. I'll tech a throw one of these days.

@Srryimwhte for the commentary, some good talks, and for saying I look like Jamie from Mythbusters on the stream.

@Tweedy and anyone else who traveled. People don't get enough props for this imo. I'm just highlighting tweedy because the guy took a 20 hour + bus ride just to get there and some people are still giving him shit. Good stuff dude and congrats on the good showing; I hope you can make it out to some more tourneys before all is said and done.

@Grr and Baby for being two of the nicer people I've met. GGs to both of you and good showing in the tournament. I hope we meet up at another tourney down the road.

Shout outs to any other people I played and spoke to, and also to Ray and TGS. Can't wait for TCW3.

TCW was my first major and was a blast getting to play with everyone and just enjoy the venue was amazing. I definitely choked but hey I got nervous and next time I'll be ready no shame loosing to killtron but I definitely didn't play at my best, next time tho.

@Awkward Sloth I didn't get to try your cupcakes unfortunately :(

@Tweedy we definitely had a good time I wasn't sure how you were gonna be in person but I'm glad I gave you a ride and got a chance to hang out with you over the weekend. Those late night killer instinct tea bag sessions were hype :cool:

For everyone that heard the guy screaming LET'S GO TWEEDY!! And just screaming nonsense that was my roommate who doesn't play the game or knows what's going on lol he just wanted to hype it up and his experience at TCW has made him want to learn the game.

I just wanted to say thank you to the guys who put on this tournament. It was absolutely phenomenal and these guys have set the bar for tournament standards imo. Stream quality was amazing (the best I've seen), matches ran smoothly with little to no hiccups, commentary was hype as fuck and it was awesome to finally meet some of the pros and other amazing players. I will be attending this again event again for sure 10/10!

I would like to give shout outs to Cossner, Hayatei, Dragon, Scar, Tweedy, Buffalo and Reo for being cool and talking to me as well as giving me some advice and playing games with me.

Special shout out to the guys with Hazardous Gaming for giving me the opportunity to stay with them and train.

Lastly, I have to give a shout out to my friends at home rooting for me and giving me advice. Also, shout out to all the commando Kano players. I can count all of you guys on one hand lol.

The experience was great and I will see you all at TFC. Hopefully I will be fully prepared to put on a show and bring the hype with commando!

This thread is going to be too much and i'll definitely forget some people, there's just too many.

First of all shout out to @SaltShaker @Awkward Sloth @HuttonMD @Aqueous_Echo @SouthRoots for helping me get there. Greyhound is worst hound but it was worth it.

When I first got there I played Yams and @SonicFox5000 in casuals. Sonic is cooler than you could imagine, not hollywood at all. We were bullshitting and talking about the Tanya/Alien match up.

@hayatei was awesome. We had some friendly trash talk all weekend. Trash talk is a lot cooler irl because people can't take it the wrong way when it's not supposed to be lol, and our set was so close.

@EMPEROR_OF_OUTWORLD was really nice, and not in the "lets just make nice to not start anything", kind of way. He was popping off on my side, giving me props when I lost. Dude is awesome and needs more credit for bringing hype to these events.

@RM Indecisive for the last second WAWA sub. I didn't eat it because I was waiting to play Sonic but the thought is still appreciated. Much love.

@SidTheHaze and @GandyMan for finals day casuals and kind words. DROP KUNG LAO, SID.

@KevoDaMaN because he popped off harder on me for losing a game to Buffalo, than when he beat Dragon and Scar, COMBINED. Outworld and I were joking about that. Good showing, man.

@LeftOverShark and Buffalo were also really cool. Dragon, Firewall, Scar, Aquaman, just too many people to list that were super cool.

The biggest shout out is to @HuttonMD 's friend who doesn't even play, David. He popped off hard when anyone in our crew played lol. He somehow knew that Demo and Alien were OP.

I didn't but I didn't really hang out with too many people outside of Hayatei/Scar and Hutton's crew, outside of the event.

Next time i'm coming for that batch bruh.

At the end of Saturday I told everyone to go ham on them and I left in the ensuing chaos. So if you weren't there at that time you prolly didn't get one.
