So, death threats, SWAT, and support groups ahoy!

I don't work in AAA and I haven't (directly) experienced anything this nasty, but I know people who have.

It does bother me that it is becoming more acceptable to spit venom and freak out at game developers, and as such, it's less common for devs to interact with people directly. Hopefully the cultural pendulum will swing back to the side of civility and flipping out on the internet will be seen as shameful rather than something to be celebrated.

Well, okay, fuck Phil Fish.

That said, the other stuff is completely insane. I don't know if freaking out about your family being threatened is "overreacting", nor is it nearly on the same level as calling SWAT on someone you don't like.
