In a fortunate turn of events, YesterCades has requested we run a Killer Instinct event before the end of the year. Right now we are looking at 5 XboxOne setups for KI and also the classic Killer Instinct arcade cabinet will be available for tournament use as well.
For any players who won YesterCades free admission tickets at Stick Wars Episode 4, this would be a good chance to use them. Free venue and free entry into one tournament.

When: December 28th, 2013 5PM to 2AM (tournaments begin no later than 7PM and registration is at the door)
Venue Fee: $15 (grants access to YesterCades unlimited freeplay arcade and pinball machines in addition to casuals on consoles - a 40% discount off the normal day pass)
Main Game Entry Fees: $10 per game
KI Cabinet: $5 Entry Fee
MK Entry: FREE

Awards: Crown Trophy of New Hyde Park, NY via 9.95
Special Challenge: Defeat Shock's Bubble Bobble High Score (currently 2.7 million) and you will win a cash prize starting at $100. Reasonable entry fees in the event there are multiple players trying are welcome and TBD the day of, the highest score above 2.6 million (or whatever it is at the time) will win and if it doesn't exceed Shock's high score, the highest score of the challengers will win the entry fees.
Rules for Bubble Bobble challenge are: 1 credit, no Super Mode or initials codes, player 1 only.

We're going to raffle off an Xbox One at this event, $10 per ticket, not sure if we'll do unlimited or maybe a 5 ticket limit. That will be announced at the event, but you could win an xOne for as little as $10. Whatever proceeds we make beyond the cover cost of the xOne we'll put towards free pizza for the night and if there's somehow more, it'll go towards the KI payout. If not it's our risk. Spread that word and get the hype flowing!
