Normals dont do chip, but there's a fragile guard break mechanic

Normals doing Chip damage is what makes MK... well MK. While yes it's annoying to fight johnny cage and stuff like that I much rather have this scenario than have a scenario of turtle fest and ultra defensive game play

Super fragile guard break and specials still doing maybe even more chip to compensate a lil still discourages turtle/defensive. Actually even more so. Normals doing chip and block strings building massive meter is too much. Perhaps block strings should have timed scaling on chip if normals still have them lol. :)

I think your idea would work better as a character-specific mechanic.

I dont agree with everyone here saying the chip system or meter system shouldnt be touched. It should be experimented with to create as many varied character playstyles as possible.
