Tonight, the Insomnia Video Game Culture store located down in Houston held a double tournament for Mortal Kombat 9 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. This event made for a nostalgic return to Insomnia's MK9 days and a large amount of the Kombat Houston crew was there to ensure that. In a Grand Finals that re-enacted a famous match-up from EMP REO and Crazy DJT 88 in EVO 2013 (Cyrax vs. Kabal), Cat conquers his comrade KH Lumberzach to seize the tournament victory!
We thank the Kombat Houston crew for providing the stream as they always do with every Insomnia event, and shout-outs go to the twelve players that made it out to attend MK9 and keep it preserved in the south. They even decided to take a page from their Injustice tournaments and set every bracket match to be 3/5 so as to add more to the gameplay.
