Kabal Combo

I am trying to pick up Kabal and facing an issue with his BnB. Posted this on the Execution thread but didn't any response so thought of bringing it forward...

I am unable to connect the kick and gb after b121 and jump. I am able to connect the kick after the jump but the gb seems to be way too slow. What am I doing wrong? Also note that I am able to connect the jump kick and gb; but just not after b121 :-( been eating my head for the last 2 days...

Appreciate any inputs..
Are you playing on a pad or a stick?
Either way, just input u+f, 4, b,b, 1. That b,b,1 has to be as fast as you can and as soon as you get your kick to hit. It does take some time to get it consistently at first, but it'll come in handy.
 
I am using the hitbox (still getting used to it). I did try doing uf + 4, bb 1 but I feel that I am getting off the ground too late and the opponent is already out of reach of the kick. I barely manage to connect just the kick.

Thanks for the advice I will keep practicing...
 
Struck gold a few times during practice last night. Coming from Cyrax and learning Kabal is a uphill task. The timing is very strict. More respect to all Kabal veterans...

If you can be bothered to do uf4, bb1 then fair enough, but it's made easier if you do either of the following:

uf, b4, b1
uf, bb4~1

~ = fractional delay, like a kara or plink in SF.
 
I have problems with it to, and if you're having problems just do B121, 1,1,1, F4 or B121, 1,1,1, F32, DB2, or B121, 1,1,1, F32, BF4, F32, DB2.

Or B121, B1, F4. I also reckon it's worth putting in the time with B121, B1 NDC, 2, F4 NDC.
 
Firstly thanks for the suggestions.

Now with the hitbox controller I learnt that double tap is very useful. After Jump, I had to do a double tap bb (using left & middle fingers) followed by 1. After this it was only a matter of practicing to perfect it. Phew!

Tomorrow I will start with the other combos mentioned here...

Well I play on a hitbox too and just by hitting b,b,1 as soon as the 4 connects, the gas blast hits them in the air giving me enough time to nomad dash after I land on the ground.

Hit bb before you hit the kick, and than just plink the kick and forward punch. I do b,b,3,1.
I have hitbox too, but never use it.I am too lazy to practice....one advice to make your live easyer- after b121 go for dash 1 dash 21 dash f4 ND jip b121 dash 2 dash f4(reset). It is very easy on hitbox. Just hit the 1 as soon as posible to have more time for the f4 ND
 
Cool. Let me try these out. I have been practicing the F4 reset after the b121 following it with the f3 b2 f4 to start over again. This tip is sure to add more damage, so I will try it out. Thanks. :)
 
Kabal/Cage TAG reset/100%
<121, dash, 1, dash, 2, dash, >4~Nomad Dash, TAG, <2, >33~TAG, dash, 2, dash, >4~ Nomad dash, TAG, <2, >33~TAG.... Repeat, Continue, Mix-up and enjoy.

The <2 of Cage resets and breaks the combo after kabals dash. The only option is using a breaker. You can really mix this combo up and its relativly easy because the <2 hits opponents "spun" in the air.

If you really have to play Kabal online then i can't really advice you to use his better BnB since lag messes up everything Kabal has to do.
Avoid the b1 NDC 2 dash f4 filler or 2 NDC fillers but that's probably lag dependend and you have to readjust every round or when a lag spike occours.

But in all honestly i'd rather not use him online at all ( or simply don't play online ) , it only makes your execution worse and gets you bad habits.

Agreed, trying to use Kabal online is even more annoying than being in a holocaust.
