Have some of you forgot what this game is based off of?

Open a DC comic book or perhaps even pop in a movie. What do you see? Mostly super humans/beings who have limited hand to hand fighting ability, simply overcoming their adversaries with either brute strength, fighting in a brawler like fashion, or chucking some sort of projectile at them. This is the DC universe and pretty much every comic book's formula. So what I don't understand is why people came to expect a game with dazzling rush down orientated characters with an array of flashy punches and kicks of a martial artist. Its not that way because its not supposed to be. And the characters who are known to specialize in such areas (Batman, Deathstroke, Batgirl, Catwoman, etc) do.

So sticking to that somewhat limited concept, I think NRS did a wonderful job depicting just what this game is based on, a mass of characters with heavy zoning abilities and almost wrestler like fighting skills. Not saying you should like it, but take the game for what it is, and stop comparing it to other games which are clearly based on hand to hand combat specialist. You'll appreciate it and perhaps enjoy it more.

There might be some DC fanboys here, but everyone here will argue for a balanced fighting game before they take up arms for Batman to go around bodying the cast for free.

Superman isn't effected by bullets.

WHY CAN DEATHSTROKE, HARLEY, JOKER AND ALL THE OTHER GUN CHARACTERS AFFECT SUPERMAN WITH BULLETS.

I'm talking about fighting styles and why the game seems "boring" to some. Because from a fighting perspective, most comic book characters are bland fist brawlers and zoners . I didn't say anything about the game being real or that joker fighting doomsday makes sense. Where did that come from?

Nightwing led the Justice League on multiple occasions. He's worn the bat-cowl and frankly, has probably been better at it than Bruce. He's a beast. Don't go around calling him B-list!

But their abilities and techniques are. That's the point I'm getting at. That's why superman doesn't have any kicks. In a nutshell my post was to basically explain one of the major reasons why this game seems so mundane, because it's based on characters with drab fighting skills.

Fighting games don't use the logic of a story driven single player game.

Like in a racing game a Ferrari should probably never lose to a Toranado (I don't know how to cars lol) but they're both just pixels on a screen for the race/match. The game is in the strategy and options a player has not what/who their character looks like.

I'd like to go ahead and close this since it's just going to fill up with back-and-forth trolly fluff.
