its still pretty plus, but why the hell can't NRS get their frame data correct?Mine is not +50 on block, just like Black Adam is not +a billion on block with Lightning Bomb...

It probably is a player issue, im trying to understand how to even approach his neutral. For example sticking with GLs B1, what can Hood use to contest something like that (which most of the cast have similar tools to) seems like none of his normal can compete, hes just forced to back up and try to whiff punish which any character can do lolThis right here makes me think this is player issue, not a character issue. Hood has a decent enough neutral, you don't need an 8 frame advancing mid to deal with something like GL b1.
back up and b2 him? toss a mine to make him back off?It probably is a player issue, im trying to understand how to even approach his neutral. That's called footsies my friend, you don't just throw out f12 as Black Adam or f23 as Superman and beat out GL's b1. You don't "contest" a move like GL's b1 with any character in neutral, you have to space it out and whiff punish, neutral jump punish, block and punish. If you are looking for a silver bullet I don't really know what to say, whiff punishing is literally how you play neutral. If your opponent is worried about getting whiff punished, then it creates a metagame which ultimately gives you the initiative. It probably is a player issue, im trying to understand how to even approach his neutral. I just do f3, 32, 32 into a trait combo but you have to end with the low shot. What's meterless optimal dmg from f3 midscreen? I'm doing f3, j1, 22, 32~lunge or mine.
i usually follow up a f3 with d2 into mine, f2, mine explodes, 112~mine. theres proabably a way to get trait ender out of that too, but which is more damaging.I just do f3, 32, 32 into a trait combo but you have to end with the low shot.
Cool I will have to try that.i usually follow up a f3 with d2 into mine, f2, mine explodes, 112~mine. theres proabably a way to get trait ender out of that too, but which is more damaging.
my 1bar in the corner is usually thisCool I will have to try that.
Nice, yeah I am always fishing for b23 in the cornermy 1bar in the corner is usually this
Starter, mb close mine, d2~close mine, f2, mine explodes, f3, 323 and then toss another mine.
landing f3 immediately after mb mine in the corner isnt worth trying, the timing is too specific, and they'll more than often just land behind you, so don't bother, lol. this i why i came up with this combo, fitting in the f3 later.
yeah, that combo is for everything BUT b23.Nice, yeah I am always fishing for b23 in the corner
Yeah that is what I am doing nowyeah, that combo is for everything BUT b23.
unless u wanna go for a two bar combo and stick in mb up stars somewhere in the 1 bar combo and change it according, not really worth imho unless its going to kill.
standard 1 bar b23 combo is
b23, 22, 32~mb upstars, 323. Tho you can end it a number of different ways.
another way you can end your midscreen combo's is b23~mid mine, into air shots, basically going strait into a htb.
just do 3 instead of F2 in the combo, more damage and only 1 frame different. Just as easy to hit imo.my 1bar in the corner is usually this

actually the 3 and going into f3 after is to hard for me, so i won't be doing it. :/ thx tho.just do 3 instead of F2 in the combo, more damage and only 1 frame different. Just as easy to hit imo.
Best dmg without side switch but it's very inconsistent for me. Thx thoughI just do f3, 32, 32 into a trait combo but you have to end with the low shot.

I guess the point im trying to get at is that Red Hood to me feels like hes always on the defensive, if his whole game is based on whiff punishes thats fine but I have seen anyone say that, just a whole lot of "check this mid screen fake set up bro!!"
He stops being on the defensive once you establish your neutral with whiff punishes, b13, and mines. Watch sonic fox play, you can get people to completely stop doing anything. Once that happens, you can start your offensive.I guess the point im trying to get at is that Red Hood to me feels like hes always on the defensive, if his whole game is based on whiff punishes thats fine but I have seen anyone say that, just a whole lot of "check this mid screen fake set up bro!!"
Lol first of all, pick up and start winning? Well as a long time NRS player i can safely assure you that is not what i did, in fact i had been playing him everyday for at least a week, might have been 2 but im not gonna say 2 weeks cuz im not sure, before even posting on here about him.@sling1414
On a real note tho, seems red hood is not for u. Like I said before if u expect to just pick him up and start winning, well then your wrong
Your negativity is getting tierdsome. There has been various threads and videos showcasing red hood pros and cons, even post replying to u specifically trying to help, one of which would be mine. But instead of trying to implement these tips and refining your game, u quit. U quit and post about your tears.
If u want to push buttons pick attrocitous, if u want stupid neutrals pick aquaman.
Hood doesn't have any silver bullets in his clip, only brass. If u want to grow some brass and get your grind on, then pick hood.
Nobody can help someone who's not willing to help themselves.
So we have to hit the J3 as high as possible, land and walk forward slightly before the 3,2? Damnit JasonYeah its the JI3 that affects the combo. Unlike most characters, Red Hood's actually leaves the opponent floaty for a bit if you hit them high enough up, so its better to hit them up higher, land, then walk forward slightly. The juggles tough, but its possible to get consistent. After awhile you definitely recognize when it will work and when it won't, which goes to show that its possible to get consistent.
No this is wrong, you want to land j3 as low (or deep) as possible. You still need to walk a step forward, but you recover much quicker and it leaves the opponent nice and high in order to land the grab ender. So we have to hit the J3 as high as possible, land and walk forward slightly before the 3,2?
