You have probably noticed a good bit of fresh gameplay as of late that has been posted by @Dr Jackal from the Finish-Him.com community. This is due to their time with Mortal Kombat X at an event called Paris Games Weekly where they had many hours to play the game. While doing so they also recorded a few fights to share with us. So in doing this, @Mickadi wrote about his experiences with Sub-Zero on Finish-Him.com.

Below are his thoughts on Sub-Zero, followed by the gameplay from their experiences.

"Yo, I am pleased to tell you that the Sub Zero MKX is much cooler than the MK9 Sub Zero, for several reasons: - It is much faster, it was more like a stroll tank. - Her shots are much more diversified. - It has overhead mix / low interest.

Hits and notable strings: 1 (high) This is his fastest time, it comes out in 7 frames and several strings are from this input, 1,1,2 and 1,1,4 for a quick punish can be 1.1 + iceball ... d1 (mid) This is the fastest poke it out in 9 frames, and allows to break dry, it is also cancelable by any special- moves. d4 (low) Poke comes out in 11 frames and has a good range, it serves footsie and he is also very good to put pressure when combined with db1 (hand smash) b2 (overhead) overhead shot that bounces the opponent and allows a combo with or without the run. In midscreen without run it is possible to add a slide, with the run a little longer possible combo. In the corner is a complete combo is possible. 1,1,2: Series jab, the last shot has a HKD can be used to finish combos, Cryomancer In the third shot is a sword that stun slightly the opponent. 1,1,4: The last shot is low, allowing a mix overhead with 1,1xx db1, but little damage to doubt the opponent is always good. b3,3, (low) two low cancelable with a special kick, a combo is possible cancelant the string by Enhanced iceball. There is an extension that b3,3, d4, the string ends with a brush. f4,2,1 + 3: f4,2 is a launcher which makes the most damage and also has the largest scope, the third hit is probably interruptible mug, and Unbreakable by Grandmaster Sub Zero projects the opposite side of the opponent and execute it Cryomancer shots daggers that leaves the opponent standing and did a lot of damage.

The special moves: Iceball (df2 ): the startup of regular ice ball is very slow, unlike its iceball enhanced which is very fast and absorbs projectiles on its way, which is a sudden anti-zonning formidable. Slide (BF 4): It is well faster than in MK9, it has an enhanced version of his armor and puts the opponent on the other side. . Always very unsafe Grand Master: Ice burst (db1) (overhead) Explosion ice on the ground, the enhanced version of the opponent launch a full combo is possible corner. One in custody. Ice clone (db2): The clone Sub Zero is less powerful than in MK9, you can always cancel the strings by the clone (eg f2,4xx ice clone) but we can not do for 'ice clone in the air and the clones are destroyed when they come into contact with a projectile, it should be noted that the clone no longer takes the last position before executing the clone. Ice toss (df1): This manipulation serves project to clone the ice on his opponent, the clone as projectile at several heights at the beginning is high and therefore esquivable stooping, but it is mid distance. The damage of the projectile are quite important. Probably the most complete variation as Sub Zero is good in attack and defense.

Cryomancer: Ice burst (db1) (overhead) Explosion ice on the ground, the launch enhanced version of the adversary a full combo is possible corner. One in custody. Crushing hammer (db2): Large hammer that hard knock down overhead, the enhanced version of the launch opponent. The move is slow and largely in response lockable. this one is also available in the air, Sub Zero with his hammer falls vertically. In this variation that Sub Zero is the most damage, with his hammer extending combos, and his command grab that makes a lot of damage. Unbreakable: Frozen Aura (db1): Sub Zero is surrounded by an aura of ice reduces the damage cheap (cheap damage that were not very consistent in this version of MKX) Barrier of frost: Sub Zero protects with a shield of ice is an ice parry, parry in MK9 generally were vulnerable to low blows but not this one if the opponent Sub Zero key during this time he finds himself automatically frozen. I found this variation really need more burst the ice present in the other two variations disappears.

Combos: Midscreen: b2, slide b2 run b1,2xx enhanced iceball, f4,2xx slide * f4,2xx iceball, 2,4,2, Jump in Punch , f4,2xx slide * Enhanced b3,3xx Iceball, 2,4,2, Jump in Punch, f4,2 slide * Neutral Jump punch, b1,2xx iceball, f4,2xx slide * f4,2xx iceball, f4,2xx Enhanced crushing hammer, Jump in punch, f4,2,1 + 3 (Cryomancer) Corner: b2, 2,4,2, * f4,2xx slide f4,2xx iceball, b2, 2,4,2, f4,2xx slide * f4,2xx Enhanced Ice Burst, 2,4,2, f4,2xx slide * *: In Cryomancer f4,2xx slide must be replaced by f4,2,1 + 3"

This is so great! Thank you so much for posting this. I cannot wait to use each of Sub's variations. Would you guys happen to have any game play of his unbreakable variation? I am typically a rushdown player so I wanna see how you would play this high defense playstyle and try to learn from it. Thanks again!

A fat woman came into the shoe store today...
Has anybody noticed what the proximity on Clone is like? Any examples of moves reaching through and shattering it?

I was always a Scorpion guy , but i'll give the cryomancer variation a go just because you get to hit people in the face with a hammer .
