EMP CD Jr. wins Killer Instinct at East Coast Throwdown 2014!

Over a week ago, the East Coast erupted with a series of brutal throwdowns between its many champions. Among these competitions was the widely loved Xbox One downloadable title, Killer Instinct. The tournament finals saw an impressive Top 8 complete with matches that never failed to keep the crowd's attention locked solely onto the stage. Now, after an unfortunate delay, we bring to you the results for the Killer Instinct tournament as well as footage to help you catch up on the excitement!

The tournament eventually came down to a Grand Finals that had the crowd going nuts, both on stream and at the venue! EMP CD Jr's Sadira would confront EG Justin Wong's Sabrewulf in a struggle so intense, nobody could predict the twists and turns that would happen. Justin's comeback factor would upset the balance and cause a 3-1 bracket reset, and he was on the verge of seizing the ultimate win in Grand Finals...but CD Jr's strong use of Sadira's instinct would prove to be the downfall of the wolf, closing out the match in a 3-2 victory for Junior!

Test Your Might gives a round of applause for such an amazing performance from these players as well as everyone else who came out to this event to showcase the intensity of Killer Instinct!

He's really good at punishing peoples bad habits of throwing out 2 hit normals for pressure when he has meter. If he has shadow meter he will punish you with a shadow counter.

Yeah his play was super solid. Not only did he play a solid ground game with a character not known for that, he also utilized her instinct very effectively and showcased some solid defense when having to deal with his opponent's oki games/ he lamed it out when necessary which is always a good thing when the time is going down and you have a life lead.

I wonder if this matchup could be bad for sadira because saberwulfs' groundgame is so much better than hers. Nonetheless much props to CD jr definitely my favorite player to watch in KI.
