Buffer during dash?

Hey Guys! On MK I used to backdash and then input a special command during the dash, and it'd come out after (so i'd buffer it). e.g. press bb, bf3 and sub would slide after the backdash. I can't seem to do this in Injustice???

Not possible in Injustice, gotta input it when the dash is over.
Same goes for blocking.

It's possible to "buffer" during the dash. It's not possible to cancel the dash.

I can't seem to get it to come out. Im pressing the directional input during the dash and the numbered (1,2,3) after instantly after the dash. Am I doing it wrong?
