ps4, powerful, easy to disc and connect controllers, and stop crying about ur sticks please. It's not USF4 and many of MK players play on controllers and ps4 controller is much better then XB1 for fighting games, atm i bought CronusMax to play USF4 on XB360 with my ps4 controller and still want play withouth any converter too even if i got one, and more... if there is another exclusif character so SONY will get it first for sure
There is a Cronus that works with PS4 controller? Please link.

Who hired this guy, WTF?
This cant be determined on the console's dpad. Sticks are universal.

It has to do with performance and convenience.

If both the xbone version and ps4 version work the same, one reason we would prefer to go to xbone is that we dont want to manage another huge bulk of online accounts.

The PS4 stick comes out this quarter and if its easy to put the pcb in another stick the ps4 could definitely have a leg up. As of now the xbone modding is quite ironed out right now. Meaning there is a process and it works just fine.

ps4 always scared me cause the Ps3 lagged so incredibly bad for MK9

I am open to ps4 so long as there is no lag compared to X1

We have to wait and see how the game plays out but like @Shock said e,

its definitely a good idea for us to find out which console the NRS guys use most in house during development. In the case of IGAU they said they used xbox360 as their base console... So lets see which console is NRS's "base" during MKx dev.

Probably will just be whatever EVO chooses. So unless there is big problems with xbone, I forsee that being the standard, as EVO was and likely still is sponsored by Microsoft.

I dont care particularly either way tbh. Ill play whatever the tournament standard is, im just speaking logically and based on track records. If you look at MK9 and INJ track record, it was mainly based on what EVO or MLG was running the system on, not what "the best" system was.

The game is designed for Next Generation, and NRS is developing next gen exclusively. So, the obvious answer is PS4 or Xbone.

F1 ftw.
This is a glorifed fanboy question.

In reality, it will just be whatever runs best/is the most convenient which has nothing to do with system specs.

That being said it wont matter for me because my stick will be dualmodded
I need to get my te2 modded:(

Seeing as almost every multi platform game has performed better this generation on Ps4, I don't see the trend changing by the time Mk10 is released.

I know they are using PS4 controllers when showing this games for demos, but can someone confirm if they were using a PS4 box or a PC Dev kit?

The rose that grew from concrete
I think it's a no brainer that this game needs to be played on one of the next gen consoles and not PS3 or Xbox 360.
Definitely something to work towards, but initially there is probably a necessary time lag while we decide which console is preferable. Outside of the aesthetic improvements, why is this a no brainer? Surely the player base would be higher if we (at least initially) worked towards a PS3 (or more likely X360) console to begin with?

All the TOs already have some from KI and all the players have the XB1 peripherals
Not entirely sure I agree. In terms of infrastructure, TO's currently have access to significantly more X360 and PS3 consoles than XB1 consoles. Furthermore, in terms of the UK (and as far as I can tell, Europe), KI is non-existent as a competitive title and won't be relevant following MKX (the games are very likely to share player base).

At KI tournaments the x1 controller is super easy to disconnect and reconnect. That's a non issue.

How about a non bias opinion.

The controller issue is not ann issue because people mostly use sticks anyways. And many times they are dual modded to work for multiple systems. TOs will likely stick with xbox for a number of reasons.

1) KI has started the snowball for xbox.
2) Why buy more systems that don't match when the same one can be used for multiple games?
3) xbox is the current standard for fighters because of the lackluster performance of ps3. History is likely to repeat itself.
The problem is that in case of next gen, xbox is the one that has worse performance than ps4.

hey asshole, some of us prefer xbox controllers/ get used to them... and it fucks us up when we try to play on ps4.
I prefer the xbox 360 controller over the ps3, but at the same time the xbone controller seems alot more inferior to the ps4 one. I'm talking mostly about the d-pad.

It's going to be based on best frame rate and performance, and it should be nothing else. Once the game comes out we can perhaps take a community vote or just got with what NRS insiders tell us is the best. lols
I think we should factor in controllers too though. I don't really know the state of the converter market for next gen but last I heard there were no good converters for PS2 pads. Personally I'm probably going with PC for my own copy but not set yet. For tournaments I get that PC would be way too much of a problem but what about staying on Xbox 360 until all the controller issues are worked out? I agree we'll probably just do whatever Evo says they'll be playing on but I think it is at least worth talking about staying 360 until everyone can play on the controller they want. Unless the game plays too differently between previous and next gen but obviously we can't know that yet.

I can't speak for TO's and I've entered KI tournaments and own both systems. I will say overall atm without taking into consideration the performance of the game on either system(not out yet) I'd prefer PS4. So far no slowdown issues on either system for any of my games and I'm a pad player in 70% of the fighting games I play and the PS4 pad to me is still a bit better for that. Also ease of controller switching, menu navigation, system size and transport and how profiles work.

Whichever it runs better on. Hopefully performance is good and equal on both. In which case whichever comes at the least Cost to the TO's. Which leads me to believe it will probably be X1 due to KI being out for as long as it has and Season 2 might kick up its popularity more. But it's also fair to say Guilty Gear may be popular as a PS4 exclusive. No way to tell at this point, we'll have to wait and see.

If i had to guess, PS4. Better controller, generally smoother gameplay experiences based on previous games.
