It's not gory the same way MK is gory - Gears of War is all human vs alien violence. Yeah it's a little gory, but its got that edge of lightness to it because it's not really people getting fucked up, it's just aliens that sometimes might kind of have a humanoid form.

There's nothing light about Kung Lao tearing someone in half via tablesaw hatblade. Over the top? Sure. But nothing in Gears of War will make you cringe. That's why I say he doesn't fit. Same reasoning for Master Chief - Halo is in a very dumbed down tier of violence in comparison to MK.

Edit: Not to mention...there's absolutely zero reason for anyone in MK to think Master Chief or Marcus are special in any way shape or form. Marcus does steroids, Master Chief is in a cyborg suit...Sektor and Cyrax would like to have a word with his ability to float in the air for a couple extra seconds.

Agreed. Marcus fits the bill for being in a game that's full of blood and gore. But the style of game he comes from really doesn't work.

Kratos worked because of what kind of game God of War is. Gears of War is a TPS...how would they incorporate Marcus into a fighter? While I can't claim that he's lacking fighting skills, I can only assume that he does.

If he WAS the Xbox dedicated guest character, I think he'd have to be a grappler type character. Obviously he would be able to use guns and such and that's perhaps how they could change some of his variations.

One variation has him using the Lancer, another uses the Gnasher and the other uses the Torque Bow.

But it wouldnt be hard to have him do some pretty brutal things with the chainsaw on his gun. Same with Master Chief, Im sure he could stuff a plasma grenade down their throats or something along those lines.

I dont want either btw, I hate console exclusive characters.

Id rather have a Gears character then anyone from KI.

I don't play those games, but the chainsaw gun would make for some cool looking specials and fatals.

The console exclusive characters better be guest characters. I don't want to be unable to access Ermac or Reptile for example because they only gave on to each console.. Either way they should do what SC4 did and make them dlc for the other console so they can be used in tournaments.

The fun of guest characters is putting in a character that wouldn't normally be put into a fighting game imo.

like soul caliber for star wars was awesome...i bought it because of that. KI already has a game and if I want to buy the same character twice I won't buy it. just saying.

Terminator/T-800 would be one of the few guest characters I can think of that I'd be OK with. It would make sense for them to put him in, since both MKX and Terminator: Genisys are coming out in 2015. I don't know who owns the rights, though.

Who knows, we can speculate to hell here haha. But honestly I don't want Sweettooth.

I'd like Predator, Riddick, Michael Myers, Jason or a KI character would fit in well. IMO

Ah damn, I hope Xbox doesn't get Sabrewulf, I really do, mainly because he wouldn't be on PS3/PS4. If NRS wants to put a Werewolf in Mortal Kombat, he needs to be playable on ALL systems, screw this console exclusive BS.
