Injustice + EVO + Community: My Thoughts (Very Long + Covers a lot)

That seem like solid reasons but I'm mainly talking about when people say dropping what I'm good at to pick up something I've never played to get better

On the surface it seems like a good idea but IMO it's not

But if it's what U enjoy then that's always best
Depends on what you want. Improvement or wins...

I went 7-10 against your boy, Fly, in a random player match set the other day and it was easily some of the best experience I've gotten in over a year with this game. For someone who doesn't travel or compete and doesn't quite consider myself on the level of you elite players, it was inspiring to get in there and relatively hold my own against such a great.

Moral of that story is thay I envy you for each and every single name you listed and applaud you for truly grasping the fact that you are the best simply because you play the best. All of them. And with that level of work you put in, you couldn't deserve the success more, Pig. You earned it.

I aim to be one of the new bloods you bitter old Injustice greats complain about when MKX hits, so expect a friend request then, Pig. I will follow your path of playing all the best and you will be the first stepping stone.

Shots fired at KDZ - not a surprise... and also WEST COAST on blast for being jealous. Hmmmm, didn't expect this at all in Pig's write up.

All in all, a lot of bitterness towards many people
Tired of disrespect shown to three of our communities best players and having their backs

Best Zatanna that uses Aquaman
It's probably because we were in a pretty similar situation.

Yeah we wanted to make our character work and we put in the time, but playing a secondary suddenly makes everyone who liked you and always defended you talk an incredible amount of shit and no longer support you. Nothing changed, we just decided to play some MUs that were a little bit easier to deal with. The more you win the more they get to watch you play, just be happy for us :(
Yeah, it's just very unfortunate. I'm glad all the people I meet in person support my decisions 100%.

We want to watch you play with YOUR character. Not lame-ass aquaman. I have wayyy more respect for 16-Bit rather than Deg because 16-Bit is a character loyalist who doesn't run to Aquaman at the first sign of a 4-6 MU

Well I hope you enjoy your break from tourneys and I want you to know that you're invaluable to this community, Pig. Like you said, you'd be amazed at what you can learn (no matter the age) and who you can learn it from.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, nobody gives Theo enough credit about how good he is at both Injustice and with Aquaman. Nobody I've played has ever done about 90% of the things he does to beat me, and it's all the hard work the guy puts in.

I understand why you stopped posting here Pig, there are so many toxic people it's incredible. One of the biggest reasons I stopped playing injustice was how incredible aggressive and overbearing people were to me on the forums, in private messages, and in streams especially. After SCR I heard people were sending hate messages to other NW players because I did well. Even though I wanted to play the game after, the idea of that made me so upset that I didn't even want to force myself to put the game in my console. This is coming from someone who used to get lots of death threat type of messages over stupid YouTube videos.

The only reason I don't want to play MKX is because of the community. Not the guys who head out to torurnaments, who put in work and grind it out, but the people who sit and home playing online and being completely worthless and only talking trash about the people who compete. I know I caused my fair share of problems, and I'm sorry for that, but the amount of absolute garbage that so many people stirred up over nothing during my time playing injustice was so disappointing.

Congrats on how well you did at evo, and hopefully I'll see you around in MKX!
I see this a lot from people. So people said some stuff, you don't wanna play anymore...?

Why not focus on the people that support you, then? You have all of WNF on your side, breh.
Either way, your performance shouldn't be affected cause some guy said that thing. You can't please everyone.

I give Theo nothing but support, but I know what you're talking about, @AK Pig Of The Hut and it's honestly unfortunate. It comes with a young community.

No one honestly gives Theo enough credit, when he's really the only Aquaman doing anything worth noting. I beat 3 Aquamen at EVO thanks to him.
Thanks Anton

Am I taking crazy pulls here? I have A lot of respect for u so if you told me I'm wrong about what I said how many Wc players discredit him , Bash him, blame aqua then id listen

thats a good point, and i did that to get my 3rd place at WB, but i'm human, and ever since i start competitive gaming back in 09' for halo i wanted nothing more than to be recognized as the best at something. and after WB i was (i guess lol). then honeybee shows up and takes my spotlight by attending more tournaments and doing really well. i only attended 3 tournaments this year due to real life, and i'm not going to sit here and lie and say that it doesn't bother me that people think someone else is the best when i still feel like i am. the only difference is that i voice my opinion while others choose to suck it up and keep it to themselves.
This to me is the most toxic of all attitudes. It's honestly sickening. It reminds me of my 14 (young and prepubescent) year old self in 2009, as a beginning Rose player in SF4.

And this is my good transition to why I think the NRS community cannot advance unless they get over it.

So in 2009, I was a Rose player that only played online because I was 14 and couldn't go to local tournament let alone travel. I had a high online Rose rank though and people who played me online thought I was the best, but of course, Luffy (2014 EVO champion) was winning all the french tournaments and beating Daigo and was regarded as the best Rose, as he is. I simply refused to let it rock and I argued about the being the best Rose player, even when I had little results. As time passed, I got more and more results, and I still argued myself the best while Luffy was still winning the french tournaments. I hid all my tech and I had a lot of sick shit with Rose orbs that no other Rose did or knew and I didn't share with anyone because I wanted to only use to it myself. That's even more toxic, because our character couldn't advance and all the Rose players were not in good standing with one another.

But one day, I realized that being friends with the other Rose players and being friends with Luffy (we talk strats all the time) is the best, and it doesn't matter who is better, because we both benefit from the mutual relationship, he shares tactics with me and I share tactics with him. He WON EVO, I got 13th. It doesn't take anything away from me that he won, and my placing is nothing to scoff at. I'm still one of the best players in North America and he just got me that one tournament. We don't care who is better, we just get along, and no other Rose player cares who is better, and the only people who are using this discreprancy in placement are idiot stream monsters, that I shouldn't even let bug me.

But if all we care about is being the best with a character, then you won't advance as a tournament player and the community fails to advance because more likely than not, you're gonna hide something that 'separates' you as a player, which honestly, you shouldn't be hiding your tech because if you give tech to someone else, they will only find new ideas in terms of tech that they'd be willing to share with you.

But too bad the NRS community is unfortunately stuck in the vortex. Just the other day, there was an argument about best Wonder Woman, and I didn't even entertain it, I just gave props, because honestly, who cares? There should be more than one good player for your character so there will be things to be found.

If all you care about is affirmation to become the best with a character, then you're in the FGC for the wrong reason.

BTW @AK Pig Of The Hut I play Street Fighter for different reasons then the ones you listed ;).

Making the character isn't enough? You don't think the people who literally sat down and created the entire ground work to playing the character, and then played out MUs with the best players they could have a right to switch characters for specific MUs? If a player like that has finally come to the conclusion that the MU isn't worth playing then they deserve the right to switch, whether other people like it or not.

I still had people telling me NW-Supes was an even MU and very winnable when my week 1 MMH beat Slayer, when after dumping hundreds of hours into NW I could barely do it. I'm sure Deg feels the same way, and I understand him picking up a secondary completely.

I don't feel the way they talk about and treat Theo is right, so I'm not gonna lie and defend that they are people are who aren't jealous. They are not jealous of him actually, they are envious of his success. They are being disrespectful and rude to Theo when Theo is practicing the game and playing more than them and winning as a result. You're not taking crazy pulls, because I can name exactly who they are. It's really sad.

I will say though, that Chef isn't one of the players I'm talking about. He's super supportive of Theo and is one of the people who thinks Theo is the best.

Fair enough. These players should understand they will lose respect from their viewers by taking the easy way out however. 16-Bit, Pig, Digit, etc are to be admired for their loyalty

The Best.
One thing I envy about Fox is his attitude after a tournament. I could never do it, I am emo for life, but his personality is the same no matter how well he did. He failed to place at MLG and was just as jolly and hyper and fun loving as he was after winning the world championship. If you see me or Pig in a hotel on a Sunday night you can tell how we placed. You can't do that with Fox. It's crazy lol.
When I lose i get hella emo for like 10 minutes, eat something, results

Honestly, against what a lot think, I would love if people challenged me as the best ares player, it would help level the ares community a lot, and the few that do compete do not communicate. Or really travel. But ares drama aside, I love being apart of a group that has been a real gem in the community that alot of can learn from, PTH. We just love playing the game and love playing our characters. The fact that we continue to level up is because we do not get involved in the drama, and if we do its a troll. We just at it's most basic form, love playing the game. Stay confident, stay positive, and compete.
