Microsoft Respond To Concerns Over Xbox1

BigC

I'm great in my world.
I love how some of you guys speak for the entire world with your generalizations.

The fact is, Microsoft is the best provider of technology in the world. The Xbox One is going to be a great console. The most complaints I hear are about the Xbox One being always online. The way I see it, if you don't have internet you shouldn't be looking to get a next-gen console. In a world that revolves around the internet, I fail to see how that is a bad feature.

Like he said above, change isn't a bad thing. Most people are flocking to Sony because it's 100 bucks less. You get what you pay for.

Ok then, Mamba, tell that to the thousands of soldiers who love playing there 360 over seas where there is no internet.

Did I say anything about soldiers? I'm referring to all these little assholes in this thread that want to cry and complain about everything.

Yea, Jared, it seems set in stone that publishers decide game restrictions.

And that you can only trade in games at 'participating' retailers, and that you can only lend a game once and no way to get it back.

Publishers have the right to choose whether or not you even get used games.

I hate browsing TYM from my phone sometimes. I see scores of people who need to be beaten across the head, yet typing a long post is too laborious. Maybe later.

If I see "outlier" misspelled one more time, though, somebody's getting fucking fatalitied.

Exactly. You guys have crusaded around as if you couldn't trade games or share them. It should be the publishers choice.

... with the PS4 the publisher doesn't get that choice. And you can trade it in to whoever you damn well choose.

He's saying that you're being a know-it-all about a product that NO ONE knows until release date and of which policies can be adjusted.

So, you're banking on the xbox changing their hardware and policies... at least you admit they're terrible.

The only thing I admitted is your arrogance.

They can change. I don't care if they do. None of these policies are a big deal to me. And, as such, I'm staying with Microsoft as they are the best video game console choice for me.

Ninety percent of people in this thread are just trying to push their opinions on other people only to curse them when they don't agree. Get a life.

Too old for this Shit
Playing devils advocate here:

Say the XB1 is a more digital than physical form of media.. Wouldn't that give Microsoft MORE ability to adjust/fix/reshape policies and procedures than if it were more "limited" in scope? I understand that when a system goes gold and ships there is nothing that can be done about internal processors or hard drives... But from everything I am reviewing and reading.. It appears more open ended for tweaks than set in stone.

I don't get how anybody can defend ms after this shit. I don't have a problem with it being connected to the Internet all the time. It's the principal. They want to control shit they are trying to sell. Not a good combination. Who is ms to tell me I can't play my games if I'm not connected to the Internet. The only reason they want you online all the time is to make sure you didn't let anybody else play YOUR(their) game without their permission. Which leads to another problem. If I buy a game and want to let my entire block play it, I should be able to. But with Microsoft, you can only let one other person have the game and they have to be on your friends list for 30 days, why? I have never of somebody selling something but still want full ownership of it.

Not really.

Xbox is designed hardware wise, to install games. This explains why you have the 24 hour check in so you don't clone and copy shit. And the lack of lending shit so you don't just buy one disc and install it to all your friends.

To change their policies, you need a change in hardware and how it handles games.

Plus, its very hard to 'resell' digital stuff, while reselling physical stuff is easy as crap. Walk in a store... pick it up.

90% of people you say... sounds like that poll for amazon. 90% of people prefer the sony.

I also refer you to reddit and see how much love xbone is getting. Or IGN. Or Eurogamer. Or gametrailers. Or... everywhere.

Again, if you don't like it, go play PS4. It's not hard to comprehend.
