I think you're over reacting a little bit. His combos are easy when you actually practice them. Having bad wakeups isn't the end of the world, if you're good at blocking you'll still be ok, it just means you can't mash your way out of pressure.

The character isn't amazing, but it kinda feels like you're making him out to be worse than he actually is. His trait isn't worse than the jokers trait, as I said before, it's a damaging low at any point, you can at least get standing 3 into low chain for aabout 25%, which isn't awful considering its from block and is safe and requires no meter.

And it's not that impressive when you're considered a consistent top eight placer but just travel to about five majors a year. Try going to over 10+ majors like some of us a year and see how long that "consistent top eight" title lasts.

I actually used to say he was better than Shazam. But you see... 1.03 happened. And that all changed.

I just find it a bit confusing about all the brutal hardcore "LOBO IS USELESS AND HAS NOTHING" comments that are popping up.

I just don't see how I can main Lobo, do really well with him AND think that from my experience that he isn't all that bad. Even though I regularly fight people like Foxy that make sure to take advantage of his weaknesses.

I think a big part is that nobody is using every single thing that the character has right now, I'm well aware theres things even I don't do that I should, which would probably be giving me better results.

According to the notes:
Harley's 1,B2 gave out too much damage on block so it was fixed to give only proper blocking damage (if this was an issue, it deserves a fix)

NRS deemed Harley's 2,D3 too strong on block so they took away some advantage.. Was probably +10 (being nice) on block prior- no idea what it will be now.

And when you consider other characters strenghts and Lobo's glaring weakness and how they overlap into each other, you know how Lobo is screwed.

But the fact is, for a character that has to be in mid range to do anything, his options are pretty shallow. And once his down, good luck.
Enjoy eating free jump ins and crossups for days.

Also add db+2 and 3 to be safe on block to my requested buffs for him.
Either that or make db+2 a mid. Least he finally gets a 50/50

Again, I am hoping these notes are incomplete or this is part of a grand patch plan and this is only part 1. I think they fixed what they feel they needed to and could do quickly (these are VERY easy programing fixes) while resolving glitches regardless of the character strength.

That explains the DD and Harley nerfs. Those are BUGS. Even if the characters are weak, the block damage is clearly a bug, and it was fixed. The serious buffs and nerfs will come later, probably after Evo.

Pig/Reo, seriously you two should stop.

I do agree that the chains should be safe on block, not at advantage or even neutral, but definitely not punishable.

I think Lobo is like Bane, he doesn't need serious buffs, but he needs tweaks on moves that make no sense as it stands.
