In alot of matches, laming out a life lead with bolts and backing off seems the way to win. Divekicking over them when you get backed into a corner is good.

Space control is one thing, but divekicking and putting yourself at - is taking unnecessary risks to do something you didnt even have to do. Back up, throw bolts, and get that bar for EX divekick approaches.
thats how im wining matches, before i realised its unpunishable i was backdashing because it only took 1 frame and a lot of guts to punish it, i was using it as a poking move.

guess my new poking move is jump+ range instant divekicks.

this char plays like a subzero on steroids, i like that very mucho.

Yea if you are throwing divekicks recklessly on block then you deserve any of the punishes that come to you. My main problem with adam right now is the air game where he has trouble competing with other air normals. Ive got my divekick and zoning game pretty down at the moment and now its coming to spacing and dealing with the characters that just relentlessly occupy the sky. Superman is somewhat hard to deal with at first, Batmans air moves are really good, and doomsday especially up close is a problem especially once he gets airborne and is floating around your head. I will post a lot more of my thoughts on adam as a complete character when i get the chance. Im loving him and aquaman so far and i cant wait for BNB on may 2nd to see how well my work pays off.

black adams dash recovery is the best in the game according to the prima guide ( which i wouldnt trust most sections of), what ive been doing lately to counter most jumps is dash under them, i do it in the corner when i read a jump to gtfo and start zoning

about reckless divekicks, its easy to see theyre punishable at max height, its tricky to see theyre punishable at torso hits on block, the punish window is as tight as the hulks asshole but unfortunately it can be done.

instant divekick from adams jump distance being only -5 or less is great because he can still backdash and even punish those who go expect free blockstrings and try to attack with 13f starters or something

Smarrgasm i can also vouch that dashing back or dashing forwards (for stuff like batmans J2 which has a good infront hitbox) is the best option. Also you should check the frame data on block for alot of peoples jump in attacks, i feel that alot of jump ins arent even true blockstrings to their followups, and having a 6 frame 1 will prove handy there.
 
I often mash d1 to interrupt my opponent's pressure. But come to think of it, d2 is only 1 frame slower and launches.. All those missed combo opportunities! I really need to start using d2 more for defense.

How negative is d2 though? D1 is only -1. If uppecut is safe then yeah there is no reason to not just use that haha.

I'm not talking about jump ins. I'm talking about air to air battles. It's just something I haven't quite developed cause I've been focused on other things. If I play a character that wants to flail around a ton in the air I tend to attempt to space out jumps but if I ever leave the ground and they do as well I feel helpless. J1 and 3 have had some okay results but j2 for me gets eaten alive by other air normals and I'm so used to mk that I always jump with 2. Like I said, personal problem that I just haven't fixed.

Jump 1 is good on air to air.

So after a couple of rounds I think it's important to make your opponent respect your lightning hands. Like that move is so good. Am I right in assuming that making the opponent respect d1, lightning hands is a really important part to setting up Black Adam pressure? Also am I right in assuming (b2, trait), (b2, trait, throw), (2,2 trait). 2,2 trait, d1 lightning hands are the some of the best ways to set-up pressure once the d1 is respected? Also is doing B1,2, lightning hands good for spacing out the opponent on block?

Jump back dive kick, its really good in the mid range, other than that Id say just go for j2, the hit box is nuts it works for me the best

yup, d1XXorbs 1,1xxCage-MB b3 j3 b23 1+3. Im having some trouble hit confirming , so I mash it out. Once I get to the 1,1 thats when I can tell if Ive combod or not, so I go for the rest or for Lightning Hands.
That would be a pretty hard hit confirm tbh, the cancel advantage on the d1 into trait would make it safe anyway I think. So either way it's a good option I would think. :)

how much is that combo when you substitute cage mb for 1,1 black magic, 2,2b,1 j2, 1,1 lightning hands?

Ya, since Im the manager of my own store. I kinda just hang out and play theory fighter with the numbers. I saw that the hit advantage was 11, so i thought why not. Sure enough dude gets 50 and up on most clean punishes. Right now Im working on punishes on most of the cast.

Try hitting black magic (not full screen maybe like 3/4 or closer) and comboing into ex dive kick then I think 112 lightning hands is the only follow up (try b23 then 11 hands or just b23 1+3) and let me know the damage. Could be big damage from black magic higher than just meter burning it.

I think you might be able to get a 11 trait b2 3 u1 + 3 follow up on that. I will check it out. I usually just hit black magic into ex lightning to get the meaty lightning bolt. I think I like this one though lol.

Actually, something I stole from Dick Win at WNF (I was teaching him alot of stuff, then I saw him do it and stole it) about 3/4 the screen you can do EX Black Magic Dash, J3 b23 13 for about 34%. Could be more if someone messes with it more

I've been doing that but with j2. How could j3 add so much? J 2 combo does 25%
