So, are the way of unlocking the other cosmetics through RNG in the Krypt?

So, don't mind my bitching here but is that not essentially just a fancier loot box?

The only thing I'll commend them for is that if there's a cosmetic you really like, it sounds like you can outright buy it instead of having to go through lootbox hell.

it's no pixie cut, but I'll gladly take the ponytail over the hair she had in the beta. That sleeveless outfit looks awesome too.

I'm just trying to piece things together here so don't mind me. I'm hoping I'm wrong but:

The one image shows that Khan's hammer can be unlocked in the Krypt. It really looks like it's a ton of that. Looking like rarity and forever changing items in said Krypt.

Which is cool: however isn't the Krypt just opening...boxes, or coffins? So, by all means: you're grinding through some sort of RNG again at least it sounds like.

The upside is that we can outright pay for the items we truly want.

Once again, I'm not catering to the discussion that "Oh, you looked at a leak" when the fucking secret was a given in how many shots of the trailer when it was clear that shit was Frost or any one down that Sub-Zero line of work since it was a pasty small chick with a blue mask. Gee, wonder who tf that was.

That said, I want more information on that only online shit because that's ridiculous.

How is that ridiculous? What difference does it make? Many games are only online now. In 2019, who doesn’t have their PS4/XBox online at all times? They very well may have done that so that the story can’t be leaked until the game servers go live. It’s not like you can’t play the AI anymore.

Yeah, before I really get into the criticizing, I'm waiting to see what comes along with Online and the Krypt.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Some gear seem to be the same, but are colored differently and/or have a glow effect on them.
• All of the gear above are of "Normal" rarity, which from my understanding is pretty much just Common rarity. Unless Shao Kahn has no rare gear, it's possible that the rarities could change in the day one update OR there is gear missing still.
• Some of the unlock requirements are:
  • Unlocks in Towers of Time
  • Unlocks in Character Tower
  • Unlocks in Krypt (Normal Chests)
  • Unlocks in Kronika Chest
  • Unlocks in Krypt (Ermac Body)

So yeah... I don't know what Kronika Chests and Ermac Bodies are exactly, but there you have it.

EDIT: There is also an option to "Track Quest" for gear.
