Fresh off the press, TommyTweedy, better known as just "Tweedy" is now a free agent. Today, he has made a tweet stating that he has been released from Simplicity Gaming.

Tweedy is most commonly known for his competitive reign in both Mortal Kombat X and more so in Injustice 2.

We wish Tweedy well in his future competitive play. He is bound to be a powerhouse in Mortal Kombat 11!

That's what happens when you mess with the legendary WonderChef. You insult him over Twitter, he cooks your career.

In all honesty, good luck to Tweedy. I hope he finds a new sponsor soon. Traveling across the country to participate in tournaments isn't cheap.

You real what you sow. So many people told him to relax and chill. Days n days of this. I wouldn't want this kind of behavior on my team at work. No way man.

Now those money matches really do mean something now huh. Let that be a lesson on how to carry yourself on social media because this is the kind of social media suicide that can happen.

Regardless he'll bounce back.

Uncle JBeezY is a firm believer of everything happens for a reason. Maybe this was an eye opener on how to go about things a better way. Regardless, this will make him even MORE of a hungry competitor than ever because now he has nothing to lose and everything to gain.
You right. I can totally see that.

I'm not saying he couldnt have gone about this in a slightly better way, but I'm on his side in regards to the reason hes been going off in the first place. I mean I'd be pretty pissed too if I were putting in all that work for a game and didnt get invited to a huge event like summit over some people who havent been putting in even a fraction of what's hes put in

Chris G is on stream right now saying that he promises he'll never touch an NRS game again because the beef Tweedy had with him and and "our scene is toxic".

he's next one who is too dramatic at times. I don't believe that. If money is coming his way to test a NRS game or compete if he knows he can place he'll be there. No question.

A lot of these dudes are clucking divas who are too soft and dumb for their own good. Popping off words because their too emotional and can't see the forest from the trees.

Get outta here with that nonsense.

Totally agree, but he doesn’t know when to stop. Blaming the Summit and worse, the players that were invited don’t give him an invite. And doing that for an all long week? Humility will EVER put the greatest in the greatest’s throne. He still has the chance to chill and compete like never before when mk11 goes out, but for now, acting like he did, he lost a sponsor and doesn’t have the invite.

Wouldn't that sort of FGC drama be beneficial for a sponsor though? money match challenges etc. bring hype/clicks/likes/views and thus more exposure for the sponsor. Does the sponsor really want someone who has no buzz and just plays the game quietly?

Not really if it's the kind of sponser that has to wonder what your employee is going to tweet out next.

Listen. This is a business. If so many people have lost jobs, careers, capital standings, credibility, socal status and so on.

Plus everything else over the last several years due too what an actor has said or was too controversial.

Or a business/company executive has tweeted out or said in a meeting that's recorded and uploaded to the net.

If you use derogatory or insensitive remarks on social media that goes against the "core values" of today's standards or policies which you have signed. Even if and MOST IMPORTANTLY you represent 100% because that's your brand and who you are as an employee.

Then no a quality business or product won't touch you.

Lol imagine being invited to something as sick as a video game summit and uninviting yourself because some mean words on twitter

Edit: I can't believe I've done this
