Quick question. I moved back to Cali last year and I wanted to save money so ended up not buying a system. First MK release I've ever missed and to this day still don't own it. I do play at one of my local bars and picked up quite easily since it plays so similar to 9. Been maining Smoke but decided I needed a backup character since his lack of armor limits his options for pressure escape. Picking up hell fire because I'm all about the run cancels a la MK9 Kabal. So if I have a couple horrid questions, bear with me. I've played Scorp a total of 10 minutes.

Question 1: does JIP no longer link into F4? I found that killed my combos. I was trying to mimic some combos I'd seen in match videos - 21(FBRC) 214~TP, 114~ex TP, RC 21~spear, JP2~F4, 11~TP.

Shit, knew I had a second question. This is something I know I'll probably have to just work on but what's the key to consistently linking b3 into fireball? I always get that negative edge cancelling into teleport.

Jip links into anything in MKX, but why would u jump in and then f4 it's too slow 4 pressure in HF. Your better off doing said combo above.
And to answer your second question it's probably the controller setting. It's best if you turn off negative edge as it makes stuff much easier to do. You're gonna need to work on it in the lab.

pretty sure PL was doing it at ESL

Jip links into anything in MKX, but why would u jump in and then f4 it's too slow 4 pressure in HF. Your better off doing said combo above.

I'm talking about using JIP into F4 mid combo.

Also, I had no idea you could turn off negative edge in this game. Holy shit, mind blown.

dont do this combo. Im sure you will check out the actual combo thread but you should never go for 21 (FBRC) before 214, it scales more than going for 214 TP. You dont need too spend meter doing either but if you want to, go for 214 TP, 214 ex TP, 21 spear, JP2 F4 db4, s3 (FBRC) s3 TP

@FatalTragedy I wouldn't advise doing a FBC at the end of your combo as it removes the ability to confirm off of Scorpions FBC pressure after the restand. You only get an extra 1 or 2% and give up the chance to confirm into another full BnB. You also lose the ability to use the 214 OS I posted about which is very strong against some characters.

Agreed 100%, I'll take that stamina over the damage all day unless it is going to kill or something.

Is the frame data for Inferno's demons correct? Is DB1 (and ex version) -21 on block and DB2 (and ex version) -27?

Sometimes the tele has odd whiffing issues from time to time for me. But since I've never had the best hit confirming I usually settle for s3 or d2 punish. The air tele as an AA does have bad whiffing at times when I try to beat out a jip/jik. NRS should allow air tele to have bigger hurtbox against jumping opponents imo
 
For some reason, instant air tele will whiff on the second hit if opponent is in the corner, don't know if this is all that important (similar to ex teleport having a gap).

Is b12xxFBRC, F3 still possible to do? I've been learning HF Scorpion for a few days and while things like 21xxFBRC, 21 or 21xxFBRC, F3 I am doing semi-consistently, the b12xxFBRC, F3 just doesn't come out.

I found the b12xxFBRC, F3 tech in some old posts from 2015 and they might be outdated.
