is there anyway we can buffer out a charged db4 (flipkick) in his blocked strings? ie: blocked 114 db4 (charged, even a little bit) opp tries to poke out and gets hit, i dunno, just looking for a use for that move. i mean it is safe when charged and will lead to a nice combo on the wall.

4 little charge fk is the closest you will get to that!

I'm sorry if I'm asking something that is probably already in this thread somewhere, but is 11, SK run cancel into F2 interruptable?

it was mentioned somewhere in these threads that standing 4 (mimic activate) bf4 then f3 bf4 is a true block string, this true? cause i swear i have been armored reversal'ed a couple of times out of it (after the first blocked bf4)... or am i doing it too late?

Mimic kick is +9 to +12 and f3 will only jail if you are hitting on the first frame possible so from point blank.

Where there is smoke, there is cancer.
I want his grab to do 16% in red shadow or if his grab stays the same his red shadow should activate at 10%!
That would be pretty cool. I don't see the harm in a 16% throw at 5% health. In Stunt Double if you have two shadows active, your throw should do 20%. I think that'd be pretty dumb but funny haha.

so what do you guys do off a blocked 114 (without using skrc)? leaves jc at + 2 (c/o move list frame data) i got d4 off the top of my head as well as f3. is it a viable pressure tool outside of alist? thanks

On its own it's not great due to the pushback, although d4 or f3 as a followup wouldn't be too bad, especially in the corner. With SD you're better off mimic canceling into shadow kick to get a large amount of frame advantage. With Fisticuffs, 114~ex forceball is probably a better option.

If your opponent is conditioned to block your 114 skrc you can go for raw 114 into f3/2 to get a little more chip in post np.

why do my NP's in a-list wiff in combos? I hit them all day in SD or Fist. Is there a "rule" to get them to combo in alist?

Nut Punch in A-List starts up in 20f & is -11 on block but Fisty & SD are 11f Start up -19 on block.

Also A-List's NP is more + on hit & has better recovery.

If your doing corner combos with A-List you usually juggle him with 4/5 1,2's and on the last set of 1,2 you do a NP but in Fisty & SD you can do 4/5 1,2's and get a 113/4 into NP for some extra damage because the NP is faster.

It's all so very confusing.
So.. My cast-surfing continues.

Might try a little Stunt Double tonight. I say SD over A-list because the gimick intrigues me quite a bit, even if its generally believed to be the inferior variation of the two. I also don't like the execution requirements of A-List.

Anyway, where does SD fall as far as execution difficulty goes for his practical BnBs? Is he in the harder percentile of easier, or close to the middle? RCs arent super difficult for me provided they aren't crazy tight. I can handle Cassie's, most of Erron's (Outlaw). Blah blah. But I am not terribly strong on the execution end of things so its always a factor for me.

And finally, anyone familiar with SD want to point me to a few practical combos that I should learn? I see the combo thread and will tackle a few of those, bit its always good to hear from people who play the character, which of those combos they actually find themselves using.

after NP the best way to cancel into mimic is d4 because people would expect you to go overhead
if u wakeup with ex np while in the corner you would want to 11,(run),12,f3xxNP then just go into your usual pressure
d4~db4~bf4,f3~bf4,f34 is a safe guaranteed block combo that CANT be armored out of and also since f34 is -5 and the fastest punishers are 6 frames, that last frame u can ex np for a frame trap if timed correctly you'll eat dmg because they will hit you first but their armor goes away, it beats most reversals in the game. its impossible to perfectly time it so i just spam ex np after f34

I gotta say, this advice is slightly strange. There is NO safe block string to get mimics out. D4 is tricksy, but not guaranteed.

If you have mimic up and do F3xxbf4~F3xxbf4~F34, this is a blockstring, theres no safe way to activate mimic, d4 blocked = full combo.
