For the love of god how do you connect the B2s in this corner combo? Every time I do it, it drops the combo.

· 1,1 ~ Ice Ball > (whiff ice clone) Jump in 1 or 2 ~ Back + 2, Back + 2 > Down + 1 > Back + 1,2 ~ Slide - 27%

There are multiple things that are wrong with your setup that are covered in my thread

F42 being both unsafe and not setting the clone at the optimal distance

Clone being put at the distance where it won't armour break

B33 shatter being interruptible because of it

Pushback won't be enough to avoid punishment from things like EX spin
Ok ... You can do it off forward 4 clone as well witch is safe I'm just showing how to set it up as long as you have you clone set up when your oppent is in the corner witch is most of the time this set up is possible yes and very particular sir as long as your execution is on point

You need to have the clone in the distance I showed, otherwise this can not only be armoured through but punished by most characters on block.

Why would you do it on block its a hit conform if the b33 hit conform into shatter its really a simple concept your clone placement does not matter if there back is against the wall forward 4 into clone block see if they try to bite with a reverSal if not get in there for your mix up this is very reliable and yes I understand sum people like to neutral jump when you got your clone place up and his backs up against the wall well I got sumthing for that to that I dont see people doing you can shatter your clone when they jump and confom to a full combo as I show in this video sub has a answer for everything

Because B33 is -8, what are you going to HC it to on block with clone being up, which is unsafe as well?

There is literally no downside to doing B33 shatter because IF you place the clone at the appropriate distance, you get pushed VERY far back to jump distance while still having them in the corner. They don't get a mixup off of you being -3 in their face where a smart player will either throw or do something else.

Clone positioning matters because it dictates pushback and whether shatter is interruptible, which as I've explained, leaves you in a very favorable position on block and gives a 40% on hit.

@Rebelo After some testing, a max range F4 clone leaves you at a safe distance as well if you do B33 shatter.

The same rules apply as listed in my thread, properly spaced B33 will delay reversals like EX spin from hitting you and armour break them for 21% and + frames.

B33 does not need to be hitconfirmed because you're completely safe anyway.

Easy combos are 42% for B33 and 45% for B2

I am new to this community and mortal kombat in general so excuse me if I am not posting this in the right place. I am currently trying to use this variation as my main however I am running in to some difficulties. I am not sure what my strategy should be while playing sub-zero. I am also unsure what combos to use because there are so many. So I guess my questions about this are what main combos do you use with this variation? What is your strategy with this variation? And do you find this variation to be viable in competitive mortal kombat? Once again I apologize if my questions seem dumb I am new.

read the first post entirely, it breaks down the strategy and even the properties on a lot of his normals.

as for general strategy, corner carry, corner pressure, zoning/spacing with clone. B+3,3 is a good string in the corner, B+2 is a good overhead D+3 and D+4 are really nice normals.
 
can someone tell me why the Ice clone sometimes doesnt come out?
I am doing this coner combo b2 d1 b12 ice clone neutral jump 123 slide
I maybe get the ice clone once out of 6 times

You're way better off just doing b2 standing 1 then do 11 clone, you can easily do it online and the clone comes out right 90%.
The other good thing is if the opponent doesn't get frozen you don't wiff the clone like in the case of d1b12,the clone comes out and you still have the corner trap set.
The down side is standing 1 11clone is a lil less damage than d1b12 clone.

I just came here to report something interesting I found - when doing corner BnB against females, I find that:

[B2/B33~EX Ice Smash], B2, D1, B12~Ice Clone whiffs pretty consistently. Hence why @Tom Brady's guide recommends B2, B12~Ice Ball or B2, B2, D1, B12~EX Ice Ball.

However, I've been testing this morning against Sonya and Kitana:
B2, B2, 1, D1, B12~Ice Clone is working consistently for me (allowing for NJP, JI2, [F12/B12~Slide]).
Ditto for B33, B2, 1, D1, B12~Ice Clone.

IDK if this is new or has been explored, but allows for significantly higher meterless damage on the fairer half of the cast.

What should I do against Thunder God Raiden? Should I just switch to Unbreakable? He gets a high/low into easy and efficient corner carries, and then I just get wrecked with 50/50s in the corner. If I get him in the corner, he has several ways of just getting out. It's really just Raiden's corner carry that's bothering me.

Plus, I don't get the rules for freezing Flying God. Sometimes it freezes like I expect, sometimes it doesn't, disregarding whether meter is involved.

Yeah I noticed Brady MB iceball off b33 against Mileena and Kitana at NWM and I had been doing it for a while so I didn't know if it was known yet.
