I don't want to shit in anyone's cereal, but anyone who read the Injustice comics knows they put a lot of characters in that that didn't actually make it into the game.

Having said that, I'd like to see Kenshi make the cut. He is literally the only cool character they came up with after MK4.

Never get your hopes up, there's sooooooooo many characters in the Injustice comics is ridiculous but they not only weren't playable but they weren't mentioned in game AT ALL.

True, but most of them weren't introduced until the game was shipped, so it is possible everyone referenced this early in the comic reflects the game. Most of the comics divergents (new characters, insurgency ollie, etc) probably didn't get written until after the game cast/story was finalized.
