Yea I see now. The 1st variation shows his normal knife throw and he wears them on his back. Also wears them in commando too so he possibly might have the same toss, or he might not and it's just for hand attacks.

But in cybernetics he doesn't wear them at all and has a completely different knife throw altogether! Probably better for zoning to go with his lasers. I'm loving this.

Watching again I liked Cut-throat as well....played very much like MK 9 Kano. The three stances he has makes him really diverse in the game. Obviously it's early days and everyone has 3 stances but Kano already looks a very rounded, could handle most situations kinda character.

I took that as this being where Kotal Kahn was from, the ruins look more his style. Still want Reptile though.

The announcer voice sounds like Shao Kahn but he's dead, Kotal Kahn is the new ruler of Outworld, but if he is the announcer that should make him a boss, but he is playable. Damn this is fucking with my head.
