Could say the exact same thing about a few other characters too. Doesn't mean he was broken by any means.
Who else was as consistently dominant through MK's lifespan? We had KL early, who after 2011 won evo 2012 but not much else. We had Jax who was only dominant for a few months before people learned the MU and were able to start exposing him. We had Kenshi who did very well and blew up a lot of chars, but he had holes and couldn't pick up major wins and was only dominant by one player. We had Cyrax who's recognized as broken but had the least consistency of these in making top 3's.

IMO there's a difference though in being broken and being overpowered. Cyrax is broken, Kabal and MMH are overpowered. They have too much in their toolset that makes them too well rounded over everybody else. MMH isn't as bad as Kabal in this regard but he's in that position within the context of this game.

Did people seriously forget OnlineTony was doing Kabal infinites at WNF while Reo was using Mileena?
this is wrong. reo didn't start using mileena until a month before evo after he completely dropped quan chi cage and jade. he even said on the vsm stream before evo he was going to main and work on a completely new char which he hinted was female.

reo was the first person to show case high level kabal play at power up 2011. onlinetony was maining stryker at this time at WNFs. michaelangelo was an ermac player at this tournament. reo was the first person doing spin cancels and f4 resets. just look power up footage for pools. he was the first kabal to qualify in a top 8 using all kabal.

edit: pool matches and top 16 matches for power up seem to be gone from youtube but there's still this

He used Cyber Sub Zero in Top 8 after losing to PL. After that tournament he was maining Cage and Reptile. Tony had been using Kabal for months.

i know tony t got heavy into kabal after. but my point is reo was the first to discover the block infinite, the resets, and the zoning that made kabal dumb. he innovated kabal and even tony t and erik warda said watching reo play justin wong at power up inspired them to want to pick up kabal.

youre making it seem like tony t was the first person to play kabal and find his dirt while reo was playing mileena day 1 which isn't true.

Sigh...
First, let me preface this with you are an idiot. Ok? Ok.

Second, you can do a half-ass job for 50 years and it means less than someone who does a perfect job for 5.
You can do something for a long time without progressing at all. Its called stagnating. Puddles do it, and apparently your intelligence took the same route when you hit the age of 3. Time doesn't make someone a better player, I could spend 5000+ hours in training mode and it wouldn't make me a better player because my progression isn't as good as someone who goes to tourneys for 50 hours and achieves more.

Third, people remember you for being good. They don't think "Michael Jordan played basketball for 15 years, he must be good." They think "Michael Jordan has x number of MVP rings and accomplished Y during his career, he must be good." You can get some kind of fame for being good for a long time, sure, but that doesn't come unless you're good in the first place. People base success on how far you've come, not how long it took you to get there.

Lets take arguing for example: You can argue with me for a long time, months and even years, but that doesn't make you any better at it or any less of an incompetent boob. I, on the other hand, can argue you well for about 5 minutes and make more progress than your years of pointless idiocy. You can't give me one example of someone who received an award for doing something without them doing it well, and that alone proves my point. Success isn't based on how long you do something, its based on you getting something done.

Now then if you're done derailing the topic, you can go sit in a corner somewhere and contemplate how much of an ass you've made yourself out to be.
Started the post with that typo.

The pain in your post is real. Need a venom boost? You're writing like you're on debuff.
If you're going to project yourself into me, then you already wasting your time. I invite you to read more and stop smelling your own feces. You come off smug, uneducated and very young. I say if you ain't training your body, then at least train your mind. Too much INJ has turn you into a turd inside and out.

50 years? Who works the same job for 50 years? You're showing your age, immaturity and inexperience in life here. We're talking about progress and you're using an example of someone doing the same job for 50 years. Failed example, come back with an example that would help you and not me. That is your assignment for tonight.

You didn't make any sense on your bit about "practice". Practice is essential(quality practice). Don't down play it. Experience in tourney and practice together will help anyone be competitive on the scene and that just doesn't go for video games, but for any competition.

Well kid, so everything you mentioned about Jordan, you agreed with my previous post before and you disagree with yourself. You've stated "People don't give you an award because you do something for a long time." but you mention having a career of awards and thus leading to a HOF career as being the best of all time. Jordan didn't become the best player of all time in 1991. Once he retired, he separated himself from everyone. He was recognized and awarded the GOAT.

What you fail to understand child is that this whole argument is based on the fact that people need to wait 2-3 more years of Injustice before making claims to who's the best. So since the Jordan example went against what you first said about "People don't give you an award because you do something for a long time".

"People base success on how far you've come, not how long it took you to get there."

Doom, the child of wisdom.

I understand if it came off that way, but my point was Tony was showing up at tournament after tournament with Kabal and doing well early in the game's life after Reo switched to other characters. You were selling us the bill that Reo is the only successful Kabal in MK's lifetime.

Well to be fair, comparing Online Tony to REO doesn't really make much sense at all.

Tony, Mike, Warda and most of the other Kabals didn't really play the game as long or as well as REO.

REO's Kabal success is so much more than all the other Kabal players combined.

i never said reo was the only good kabal. i said earlier in the thread reo had accomplished the most with kabal out of anyone and no single kabal players comes close to half of his resume of achievements. i thought you were saying onlientony started the kabal ndc bs first. technically mikeangelo started playing kabal before onlinetony too so onlinetony would be the 3rd person to play kabal right after michaelaneglo.

Nah, I know better, but what people are trying to tell you is that the character was known to be stupid way before Reo picked him up full time, and other people had tournament results with him.

obviously kabal is dumb but people are overrating it a bit when theyre saying kabal is broken to the point you can't say broken without mentioning kabal. i've seen reo and every other top kabal player lose to other characters. kabal still took work and training to get results with. he wasn't this character you could just use as a auto win button on the character select which some keep over exaggerating in that sense

Online tony had been playing the game since release.

lmfao what?? He was literally standing in front of his face WAITING for him to wake up.

And even if he *has* to guess, it's completely fair that Jupiter has to guess once he gets touched, right? He doesn't even have a chance to mash wakeup :'(

And "ignorant fool"? If that isn't the pot calling the kettle black, lmao.
Thats sounds like a lot of downplaying to me from you. I dont see people blowing you up when you fight Jupiter. I got outplayed. I have no OS for losing lol. I died with a smile on my face. I just need to play the MU more. Its bedn awhile since Ive fought a good MMH.

Kabal was broke, no character should have all winning matchups, cyrax was op as he didnt win every matchup, u could call rax damage broke tho. As far as MMH goes, definitely very good, but jupiter played masterfully for sure.

onlinetony didn't play kabal on release. he was a OG stryker main. you can watch the first few WNF on mk9 for source. it wasn't until after power up where he got into kabal

About a month after MK9's release.

He may have been a Stryker main at first, but he quickly switched over.
