@EMPEROR_THEO said it best. I'm making this thread to publicly support @GGA 16 Bit as commentator for our game/community for MLG.

I don't think there's any question that he is the guy based off his passion, dedication, knowledge, hype and fire he can and will deliver story lines to the
Audiences who have no clue who we are or what we do. 16 bit is fire on a mic and even if you hated what you were watching the guy makes you love it because he's able to convey every situation w pure energy.

"But Pig he won't be able to compete"

16 bit is a competitor at heart but I asked him about this beforehand and he would prefer this.

Co candidates:
@Tom Brady did a top tier outstanding job, a job so well done he should be making a video reel now and contacting Espn. Personally I support Tom as well as commentator but I think I speak for everyone we all prefer him on the battlefield but would be happy either way. The combination of Tom "metal apocalypse " Menoutis and 16 bit would be a dream.

Sabin- top tier knowledge despite not really playing, huge advocate for NRS products and our scene. Single handedly rebuilt NLBC and kept the dream alive. Huge prior exp andalways delivers

Ultradavid - True professional, tons of prior experience which potentially over qualifies him (a good thing) huge advocate/supporter for injustice and our scene and has always tried bridging the gap between the FGC as a whole and NRS FGC scene. Very knowledgable and versatile overall in any fighting game.

Devilmayspy - has some experience at majors with commentating pools and top 8 but also has true heart and dedication for our game/scene. Extremely knowledgeable on all storylines in our community which bodes very well and IMO is a requirement of one of the commentators.

Please join me in supporting 16 BIT lead commentator or color for MLG Anaheim.

We need our stories sold and presented in a way only he can (Tom can too but LBSH everyone wants that Aquaman to compete )

NINJA EDIT: Tank Top Guy is an extremely strong candidate as well. Imagine the dream

Top-tier at everything but the characters I choose
My personal list of who'd I want to see:

1. Arma
2. Brady/DMS
3. 16 Bit

I'd rather see Bit compete.
At any rate, there's a few times per match when Ultradavid just seems to not know things. That doesn't come off good. I do know he genuinely cares about Injustice though, and with more focus on the game (which I'm 100% certain he would HAVE if he was commentating MLG) I'd shoot him up to #2 or #3.

With that being said, any combination of those listed works for me and I'll support whoever is appointed the roles. Community first.

badside, all 16bit is going to do is judge players and talk about the what of america. goodside, nobody knows the catwoman MU and they probably still wont by the time mlg comes around. my favorite to commentate would be flipkev and tom brady, both hype and good commentators.

Almost a bartender, but not exactly a bartender.
I REALLY want to see his Catwoman compete, but I also REALLY want to hear him commentate.
Either way is fine by me. ;)

I fully support 16 bit being head commentator for IGAU at MLG. He has lived this game since our scene knew nothing more than its existence. No one else can bring the hype and story lines like he can, this is a no brainer.

As for the second commentator definitely DMS. Only one that comes close to 16 bit's knowledge of the scene. Very professional but entertaining on the mic. Plus he already owns a super swaggy suit.

If no DMS then I'd say UltraDavid. Good for the larger audiences of the FGC.

Tom I'd rather see compete since he missed most of the MLGs last time. Though I also admit I was pretty upset with him at Final Round when Sonic Fox won both NRS games and Tom spent 2 seconds congratulating him and five minutes calling out a player that wasn't even at the tournament.

Whoever it is I'm super excited for this event. Really hope the DC license will bring in a lot of casual viewers.

I'm sure that this would be a tough decision for him, because I'm pretty certain that he would not be able to both compete AND commentate. I remember that being Tom's situation when he did MLG commentary, so I'm sure that still applies today.

It would be up to him. But I see plenty of pros for either decision.

16 Bit and Tom Brady would be a dream team on commentary, but they should really decide if they want to compete or not for sure. If MLG does approach one of them there will be no going back lol. It's all about chemistry. I can't see Bit and David clicking too well. MLG gotta play it smart lol.

I agree with this. 16-bit and Brady have always been my favorite duo on commentary. Both are very hype and have a lot of knowledge. Id also like too see them both compete though. I also think its important for our scene to have good commentators for our first MLG event. TTG needs to be in on it somehow also.

"Judge" is a strong word. He's going to assess what a player is doing, which is part of a commentator's job. People should have thicker skin about this. Players make mistakes, and it's OK for whoever is commentating to point them out. That doesn't mean he wouldn't make the same mistakes and that doesn't mean he's belittling the players making them. Proper analysis is really lacking in FGC commentating, and it's refreshing whenever someone makes them. Obviously, poking fun of players and being an asshole to them on commentary is a different issue, but I don't recall 16 Bit ever doing this.

Plus, people, 16 Bit is not stupid. He realizes that commentating MLG's is not the the same as commentating GBS, so he's not going to do it exactly the same way. Case in point: Tom Brady. Tom's commentary is absolutely awesome at MLG's, but he can be less professional when commentating other events which is understandable. Anyway, they would be my choice for commentators, and I wouldn't mind DMS joining in for a 3 man booth. Though Ultra David is a very good play by play guy as well.

The flipside is, I really would like to see both 16 Bit and Tom compete so I have conflicted emotions about this. Plus, I'm not sure I'm ready for another 2 years of Tom reminding us he didn't compete at MLG so his placement on an all time list took a hit.

lol.. people are failing to realize that in a professional way 16bit can't commentate, the thing that makes him a "good commentator" is that all he does is put people on blast and talk shit.
