I don't know it's kind of consistent at least, in the TDKR it seems like Batman just has no sense when it comes to women: one causes him to get his back blown out, the other stabs him.

Why is the NW community put on blast so much?
Yeah, there are vids posted about certain situations. Does that mean it's used?

A turtling/zoning NW is def possible, I use it when I have the life lead against some characters. However you cannot tell me that NW can do this against Superman, Cyborg, ...

Time to clear up some myths about up-close Staffwing:
- His mix-ups are reactable
- After Staff Spin MB, everything can be backdashed except 1
- When outside the 1F1 range, everything can be backdashed except 1D3(when inside the 1F1 range, only 1~Ground Pound can be backdashed)
- "Punishing" jumpbacks with Flying Grayson can be punished with jumping attacks
- Anything cancelled into Ground Pound can be interrupted

His Staff is used for outranging, zoning and chipping out, while his Escrima is used for mobility, zoning and mix-ups. Just because people have no experience, knowledge or patience against Staff doesn't mean it's supergood.

Changing from Escrima to Staff + cancelling it makes a sound(so you can automatically block low) while changing from Staff to Escrima + cancelling makes no sound at all.

Can I clarify something

Why is ANY superman, not just Theo in particular considered, like, heroes for actually winning with superman? How about Rico?

KDZ rushes down Jrosa because PERHAPS he knows jrosa cannot handle supermans rushdown or doesnt like it

its like people are like " omg, you can win with superman "

lets not forget how good this character is, people... and superman players ACTUALLY pick secondaries for 4-6 matchups, KDZ, Theo, Slayer. Bitch PLEASE, every damn matchup i play is 4-6

we need to see how zoning superman does vs non-wnf competition.

invite takeachance for example in the show next time, smarr for black adam

this show invites only the people who are hot right now in hype and drama but if were gonna talk outside the hype and drama then invite those who can speak for their character forum/character

Interesting you guys mentioned me vs Forever King as we play online all the time. We go pretty even every set, he'll usually go up a game or 2 by the end.

The only reason why the MU is even is because of Zatanna's wand stance. Once she's finally able to pop that stance safely, she'll zone him out for a little bit while at the same time, build enough meter to get back into the game. But yeah, you guys are definitely right that Batman will get in and Zatanna needs to be real good at blocking in that MU.

We cannot have a rep for every character on every show. We're not going to have 30 guests. It's also good to hear the perspectives on characters from successful players even if they're not playing the character.

If the players of a character are upset at anyone's opinions they can talk about it in the thread, which they always do, or do their own podcast.

im not saying that, i get that the show is meant to follow the hype but maybe youre putting chars on blast too much

No one blames a player for doing what it takes to win. Guys like THEO are not "heroes" for playing Superman. They're heroes for being winners.

Who said any of these guys are character loyalists? Theo says Superman is still top 5 and he uses Aquaman in some MU to give himself an edge. He's upfront that he's playing to win. So what's the problem?

its one thing to use another char for a 3-7 even though the counterpicked character STILL loses the matchup.

and when I did use joker vs the same player to put him in losers bracket in the same exact 3-7 matchup.

im not condemning theo for wanting to win, i just thought he was a char loyalist and i liked watching his supes

the discussion about how kdz played the matchup wrong against jrosa, is kinda irrelevant imo. Prepatch it didn't matter how some characters played a particular matchup because they won the matchup in both rushdown and zoning styles. A character like Batman prepatch especially could win a matchup in whichever way he preferred.

I sort of disagree with the NW talk. I think he is being represented well (though not really at majors yet), the character is just mediocre. He has some stupid stuff, but what does he really have that would put him over half the characters in this game?

maybe my own character gives me a flawed perspective of others but I don't see it

I love how just cause i only win locals and choke at majors getting 17th at the two ive been to i get kinda shrugged off and laughed at when mentioned for Top 8.

Also to everyone who did, dont laugh when mentioning AK Glass_Sword especially when referring to his win on Friday. He played better than ive ever seen him play beating a ton of guys in the atlanta scene who are very good (Tre, RTD, Tyler Lantern). He beat me handily in winner's and i had no answer and stopped me from resetting the bracket which ive done loads of times already in this game and never failed to do before that night. He is someone that people may sleep on based on his past but he is hungry and is playing great and has levelled up a ton. Blind_Man was saying its the best raven play hes seen other than his own and thats huge considering he will blow up anyone and be super truthful.

You fucking suck.
