Just cause your intention is positive, it is overall negative
I agree. Articles like this should be posted to promote an event and then front paged every week.

I really like the way Han words it too. It's very inviting and he talks about how they love to see "new blood" every week. It's been working too. New players showing up every week.

Grand slam! :)
:) You're cool, can we be friends. I agree, if this was on a friday night or Saturday I'd sooooo go...Wednesday night at 9-10 pm, apparently if 5 people showed isn't the greatest time.

In all seriousness pig, I don't play MVC3 lol (do any of us really do here?) you know I can't see/blocked from the tournament forum updates right can't join if I don't know. *shrugs*

Maybe you can IM me the details of NYC tourneys? Or someone? What consoles do these tournaments play on? Wednesday nights? Ok, any other day of just that day?
yea man im joking around but trying to also help you out and get to a tourney

it'd actually be very enjoyable for you, take advantage of it

I don't understand why is everyone always against Jr. Why people just keep throwing indirects at him with "MK players who haven't succeeded in Injustice hate the game", parroting he is "not relevant" and sucks at the game. When out of the top MK9 players (the ones who won majors or placed top 3 or got top 8 in the game's life time -consistently-), CDjr is one of the few* who have been in top 8s at Injustice majors. And not only that, he has the second most top 8s to date (ECT 5, CEO and VxG).

But if by "having succeeded in the game" you mean "winning a major", well, the only MK9 players who have won one are Jeremiah, REO, Tom Brady and Perfect Legend.

*List of MK9-players-who-were-in-more-than-one-MK9-top-8-that-have-been-in-Injustice-top-8s-at-majors:
DJT (1)
Wafflez (1)
Curbolicous (1)
Crazy Dominican (1)
Maxter (1)
Sonic Fox (1)
Dizzy (1)
Khaotik (2)
Wound Cowboy (2)
Forever King (2)
Tom Brady (2)
Perfect Legend (2)
CDjr (3)
REO (5)

Other known MK9 players who have been in top 8s:
MF Slayer (1), Slips (1), Soonk (1), Han (1), Jeremiah (1), Jer (1), PPJ (1), Goodspeed (2)

I guess whoever is not on either list should be ashamed of himself and be called not relevant, right?

Lol, who keeps track of this kinda shit, and actually has the numbers, do you have this all written down somewhere??? lol I'm a little blown away right now.

Injustice is alright, but I did feel more dedicated to learn/play MK9.

But like has been said a million times, if MK 9 really is better, why did everyone let it die? Oh, cause everyone is fucking lazy.

What a day. What a lovely day.
I'd play this game more if I didn't find fighting certain characters more annoying than it is fun.

I'm assuming a lot of variables are effecting it. GTA, people sick of getting bodied by the same people every week, etc.

It's not as easy for some people to "level up"to be on the level as GEESUS or Suave with other obligations.

If you held tournaments with no rent money on the line, people would probably show up more.

As others have stated, why goto NLBC when you are just putting cash in the pockets of pros. No offense towards pros either.

That's like going to the casino every week and blowing your money. It's pointless.

CHANGING $500... WOOOPPPP.

Edit: Obvious collusion going on btw in that vid.

I broke my back... It's spinal.

Who hired this guy, WTF?
Fucking seriously, if people miss mk9 fucking go play mk9. There are enough people who don't like playing injustice to do this. Stop being fucking lazy and play a damn game you enjoy. At this point point people are crying just to get attention.
I play MK on PC a lot lolollolol

I hope a lot of out of Tri-State people like AK Pig Of The Hut don't get the wrong idea by this. The north east is stronger for Injustice than it was for MK at any time period outside MLG Columbus (imo, when MK was taken most seriously here).

Every event that RapZiLLa54 and I have hosted we've gotten 25 people just through word of mouth. Also another big reason that at least the PA guys don't go into NY anymore is because The Break is so fucking godlike and it's in a perfect middle ground between NYC and Philly. At the Break we can go up against the best like Rico, DarthArma, KDZ, @frantastic, ect.

Why would we go into Brooklyn for the same shit?

KDZ

It's amore, BABY.
Wasnt you Sabin. Still love ya, without you I wouldn't have gone networking at PAX.
Nothing but love.

It's not overall negative when this article has multiple players saying they are going to support NLBC/Injustice next week. I promoted Sabin 's thread to bring awareness so that players can step it up.

How the hell is that "overall" negative? Rhetorical question.

Damn you storms lol after I wrote that I realized I misworded it but didn't think you would respond. I meant even though your intention is positive, the outcome/message will be turned into something negative by the users who respond. Didn't mean it like it sounded my bad

Straight Lazer, Cyborg, Zod, Harley, Ares, Bats,

just off the top of my head, it promotes jumping in a game with no AA's (not great AA's)
you can dash zods after you block when it comes to gunshot. harley you can dash after the second gunshot, you can dash straight laser after you duck it, same with ares.

This is so true supersmash brothers is alive an well with no online scene after like 100 years. These MK players bitch and moan when its them that let their game die.

I agree with this 100%. When I first came into the scene, any scene, me being my shy self had a hard time talking to people. I had that mentality that if I'm not good enough at a game, people wouldn't talk to me or think differently of me. I never felt like that at the break. Everyone has a great time, even going 0-2 every week haha. There's even people who show up just to chill rather than play. Cause you know... breaksteaks.
How bad were you when I first talked to you at the break? How soon after did you start bodying me? No denying the break is great environment !

I don't think this is something to go crazy about. If anything, the original post made it seem like this is the second month in a row were the game did not get enough entrants. Newsflash! Practically everyone is playing GTA Online. That right there is maybe a good reason why numbers have fallen for this one week.

As for MK9 vs Injustice? I'd rather play MK9 and I still do with a few people offline on Fridays. I play Injustice casually cause unlike a lot of people on this site, I like DC Comics and the characters. So it's always cool having the ability to beat the crap out of The Flash with Bane. That and Cyborg Superman is my favorite DC Comic to there is another reason I keep playing.
