What's new

XBox1 training

So, I've been trying to put what I've been seeing on this site to use, and it's actually been very helpful for someone as new to fighting games as I am. I actually win more than I lose online. My problem is that I keep running into players who are most likely just as new to this as I am, and it's kind of reached the point where I don't feel like I'm getting better against the people I'm playing. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should be doing to keep improving my game? Currently trying to work on my footsie game.

You and I both are new to Fighting Games so I feel ya buddy! I've just been working on learning basic terms, combos , execution , etc and even tho I feel like I'm getting "better" when I hop on line I'm getting BODIED! LOL I've played like 10 games , won maybe 2 but I'm enjoying getting my ass handed to me , thats how you learn. Plus being new to Fighting Games I have to deal with the lag on line and a fight pad that I love and hate , so yeah , it's been an experience for me to say that least .

Whats helping me somewhat is playing the CPU on very hard and friending some folks on line that help me train by whooping my ass LOL . Also, youtube and twitch helps . I follow @Perfect Legend @SonicFox5000 @PDNKetchup and Justin Wong and they help a Ton! They're very pros and always willing to help the community. Check them out!

Work on your footsies and spacing. Practice maximizing your damage. Work on your combos. Add people who are your level or a little better than you so that you have good practice partners. Remember to keep trying to play people who are better than you so that you can improve.
