Working on something potentially huge...

Alright, so I've had this idea in my head pretty much ever since MvC3 came out and I hopped back into the scene, I've discussed it with a few local guys and I'm in the planning stages of trying to set something up kinda like WNF for us Mid-Atlantic/East Coasters.

I've got a couple potential venue ideas and I'm trying to work with some of the people I know to get the logistics of it worked out, I've also got access to consoles and streaming equipment. What I don't currently have access, or potential future access, to is people.

That being said, if I'm able to bust ass and get this off the ground how many people would be interested? I know this is directed at Mid-Atlantic, but I'm mainly posting here since it's "my" region and I don't want to throw it out to the big dogs until I'm 100% sure I'll be able to get it up and running.

So if you're interested or would like to see East Coast get some more scene love post it up and I'll keep on truckin on what I'm planning.

Yea I realize I'm pretty fresh here, but I was a part of the scene back when we actually had this stuff happen at actual arcades so I've got experience as a TO etc.

edit: Yes I know about TS stream, but NY isn't exactly easy to navigate to, or get in and out of etc etc and this would help bring in some of the South Atlantic folks as well.

You guys jumped on this pretty quick! I don't know how soon I'd be able to get it, as I'm sure you all know a lot is involved getting this up and running, I'm just working out the foundation now and gauging interest. Got a few calls to make tonight in regards to possible venues, but I'll be sure to keep this updated with information as I get it.

Remember there is a lot going on in the NE part of the country too. Suggest you also get ahold of [user]Shock[/user], [user]9.95[/user], [user]Dark_Rob[/user], [user]SweetJohnnyCage[/user] & [user]thisisiloveu[/user]. These guys run the area NY/NJ, do a lot in Philly too. etc.

Philly is 5ish hours from here, if it's something big, I could probably make the trip. Working on local stuff now :)

fyi, Philly loves MK!! [user]BigE[/user] & [user]The Hubbs[/user] run HUGE Philly tourneys, about 3-4 per year (Winter Brawl, Summer Jam, NEC, etc). Lots of stuff going on!

More importantly Philly also likes beer, I know because that's why I usually go, is for the beer. OMG MK AND BEER

Yea I'm looking to drag in a bit more South Atlantic and have a more consistent base, with my work schedule etc Jersey is a bit of a hike for me to make weekly. I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes, that is the last thing I wanna do but it seems there are a lot of us more "isolated" folks that we could use something a bit more accessible, and maybe draw in crowds from the other nearby areas for some action.

That and everyone loves streams! I'm going to be popping in on the B-More and maybe even Philly scene on occasion however, like I said I'm pretty new here so need to get those connections built.

Yea looking for a weekly thing if I get the traffic. Probably would start off every other week just so I could get a feel for turnout.

This is where I tell you the venue would most likely be in my hometown.... Ocean City.... soo all you folks talking about beer and/or other things to do.... yea.... haha
