Will this version of MK Trilogy work with XP?

I just purchased a seal copy of MKT which looks like is from 1996.

I'd like to know if it is compatible with Windows XP..

If so, I will bust it open from the shrink-wrap, buy a USB controller & get to playing it ASAP.

If not I will probably keep it for novelty reasons, since it's my favorite game of all time

Spec-wise, the XP machine I plan on using with the game is more than capable, so I'd just like to know if the game is compatible with XP before I open it..

probably not, it says it's DOS compatible, so it's doubtful.

There are some XP versions floating about on the net, gimme a shout and i'll hook you up with a link if you want.
