What's your method of gathering frame data?

I just wanted to ask that so I can see if there's differences in the way people measure this stuff or if there's some sort of standard etc...
Can you guys explain how you broke it down and why you did it that way?

I wanted to throw some of this stuff into excel and work some magic.

i'd imagine its quite easy once u know how long a single frame is. just time consuming.

If I was going to do it for example, I get adobe premiere or some similar software. Hook up an LED so that it lights up at the same time I pushed the button. Load up the vid, start recording, then count frames from when the led lit up. All while in training mode so I can see the red hands and shoes. then i would repeatedly try to dash away so I can count when the animation ended. I would keep my opponent as close as possible as well.

The real nice way would be to find some lucky config file and dump it with actual values ;)

I'm going to guess that you record the game in its original(I can't remember the better word, will edit when I do) framerate and with that, go frame by frame?

I recall Somberness showing things like P1 priority using frame by frame stills.

Well...just ask Somberness since I tagged him anyways.
