I agree. I actually used to LOVE MK2 so much more than any other game (with the exception of Mario classics) and hated UMK3. I still tried so hard to learn and get better in the arcade, only to get smashed by guys like who we are now. It kinda makes me feel bad if I just obliterate someone who doesn't know what to do or isn't near high level. Ironically, I've been asked by several players to aid them in "training" or sharing my thoughts and help with them. I always oblige, unless someone were to be an ass about it.
So I guess I would come back to MK2 if I had one person that would play with me enough to develop my style, and ultimately become competitive with high level players. But even then I suppose I would prefer UMK3, at least I would have a choice to think about though.
