What MKX players/rivalries are you looking forward to seeing?

So I watch absolutely every NRS tournament, whether live on stream or on youtube, even weeklies. This results in naturally seeing players that you get excited to see competing and want to do well. I personally can’t wait to see players from the MK9 days who didn’t like injustice, those who did like injustice and those that weren’t really around during those days but are thriving in injustice.

Here are some players/rivalries I’m looking forward to seeing in MKX and why.

1. PL and REO. The undisputed top two MK9 competitors with one of the most dramatic rivalries. It needs no explanation why I’m looking forward to seeing these two compete in MKX

2. CDjr (and his brothers if they compete). I know CDjr didn’t click with injustice and I don’t agree with how much he publically bashed the game, but he is someone I always rooted for during the MK9 days and he and his brothers are exceptionally talented.

3. The Terry brothers. They bring they hype.

4. VSM vs GGA. Man I hope this rivalry is reborn!

5. Pig and 16 Bit. 2 MK9 Gods who may as well have been sub-bosses. They have proven themselves to be great in MK9 and Injustice. Will they both manage to impress in MKX?

6. Theo and Jupiter. Two injustice greats, I expect them to do just as well in MKX and shut the “they won’t do shit in MKX” morons up. I’m also dying to see the first few games between Theo and CDjr.

7. Sonic Fox. Man this kid is scary. He will obviously be a force to be reckoned with in MKX, just like he is in every game he plays.

8. Honeybee and Zyphox. Honeybee is probably the player I find most exciting to watch play Injustice and I really hope he decides to main the same character that Zyphox does so that this rivalry can continue.

9. Curbo, mikemetroid, claude von stroke, xsmokex, there will be countless others from the MK9 days I’m forgetting about, but I look forward to the return of players with a passion for MK.

10. Tyrant. An exceptional talent who gave us one of the best MK9 mirrors ever vs CDjr.

11. Forever King, Arma, KDZ, Rico Suave and Digit. Some of my personal favourites that I like to watch and I hope that they play MKX.

12. I almost forgot and feel ashamed, Tom Brady! Love watching the Grand Master and hope to witness his rise to the top.


I’m sure there are more I look forward to seeing, but these are the ones that spring to mind.

These are matchups/players I would like to see #YEEEAAAPPP:
Maxter/CD sr: Both were exceptional players and very cool people, I hope they storm the MKx scene for sure
16 Bit vs Cd jr: There is clear heat between these two players and when they get to play, the hype will be unmatched
Terry bros vs Pig: Pig of the hut AKA Uncle Bernie is still our master, we have to get a win vs him :p
PL v Sonicfox: I would love to see these two play, especially with the talk PL has been saying about da fox
Tom Brady v DJT: let the sub zero wars be revitalized and renewed :)
MIT vs DJT: because we have the hypest matches #YEEAAPP
Dab: I want an evo top 8 from him, he is due in for it
Too many other things, but a good start

Somehow, Bit and I always end up maining the same character lol. Our fight is inevitable, but with respect involved now lol.


Bit vs CDJR has to happen.

Whoever talks shit about Pig vs Pig will be hype because Pigs pop off would be gdlk.

PL vs REO because duh.

same here haha i'm still waiting for character that looks cool who is rush down heavy and has a move that ignores footsies :)

Top-tier at everything but the characters I choose
Its more of a who I want to see succeed instead of personal rivalry thing for me.

Above all else, I'd like to see SoFlo (South Florida for the geographically challenged) have multiple players win regionals/majors and if not, have all of us (staples and newcomers alike) at least remain threats to beat high level players anywhere (carrying over from Injustice)

Aside from hometown bias, these are a few things I hope happens concerning players:

-- I want Tyrant to win. Big.
-- CD Jr, Maxter and CD Prime return just as great as before.
-- PL to be threat-to-win-EVO-twice-again-champion level great at the game as he's heat magnet numero uno and rivalries will bestow upon us by default.
-- 'New blood' to make a splash, quickly, so people realize fighters are open to everyone and just because we're (for the most part) all NRS guys - it doesn't mean 'we' will run our games competitvely all the time.
-- Dick riding to slow down just a bit. There's too much. Nothing wrong with showing mega support for your favorite scenes/players but we all know when it's too much.
-- Almost forgot! HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL INJUSTICE 'NEW BLOOD' TO WIN AS WELL. KDZ, THEO, JUPES, ETC.
