We wouldn't believe it unless we knew of something like this being in the works for some time featuring everyone's favorite Shang Tsung, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. However, we can now confirm that if you plan to attend the Video X Games in St Maarten, the Caribbean on July 25-28 and you're one of the first 200 for Mortal Kombat you'll be invited to witness a Mortal Kombat movie reenactment between an actor playing Sub-Zero, which we should mention that some of you may know him more commonly in the Mortal Kombat community as "Tom Brady". Yes, Tom Brady will be playing the role of Sub-Zero in reenacting this part of the Mortal Kombat film hosted by Shang Tsung! (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa).
"The first 200 attendees who RSVP who pre-register!
VXG 2013 has been touted as delivering one of the biggest experiences for international and local attendees. While many will vicariously appreciate the event from afar via streams, everyone making plans to fly out can look forward to a special treat from a legendary warrior.
Earlier this week, Vice President of VXG Rolando Brison announced on the e-broadcast, The On Blast Show, that a special banquet event is being prepared for the first 200 gamers who pre-register for the Mortal Kombat World Championships hosted by Hollywood legend Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa.
The dinner will feature a virtual re-enactment from the Mortal Kombat motion picture where Sub-Zero and the “random” competitor engaged in battle. The “actor” who will be playing the role of Sub-Zero will be Empire Arcadia’s Tom Brady. The host of course, will be reprised by the genuine article; the real Shang Tsung, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa.
“We are very excited that Shang Tsung has finally found the Island worthy of hosting the Mortal Kombat World Tournament that will determine who is the strongest warrior of earth realm,” said Rolando Brison, Vice-President of Video X Games. “The St. Maarten Tourist Board is a proud sponsor of this historical event – Video X Games 2013.”
Remember, this is a first-come, first-serve invitation to those who pre-register. If you may recall Spooky’s firm words about the impact that waiting till the last minute plays a significant impact on your personal finances. Whether you’re flying out or local to St. Maarten, this is one epic highlight of VXG 2013 you can’t afford to miss.
Stay tuned for additional VXG 2013 highlights as they become available."
